Pardew Stays.

Pardew said he was happy with the squad at the start of the season and therefore the blame lies clearly on his shoulders. If he was unhappy he should have said so and then maybe people would have given him a bit slack. But as he is a puppet he dies on his own words. You can't have it both ways.

Tbh, I think I'm done until Pardew is gone. I don't go to matches anyway, and I'm not going to waste my time watching utter dross week in week out. The board have shown they lack ambition because 16th was apparently good enough when (as has been highlighted) any of the other 19 clubs in the league would have kicked him out long ago. And a lot of premier league managers would have had the humility to resign after the sunderland debacle. I will cast an eye over the summer transfer activity, but Even if it's good it probably won't change my mind as any good players will have the ability coached out of them within a few weeks and be reduced to playing hoofball. To those worried about players leaving, I'd wouldn't be so concerned, their stock will have fallen that much this season, noone will pay what ashley expects for them and consequently he won't sell.

Same here TD. I've stopped going to matches since Pardews appointment so I've grown use to not going to the games. I can watch it in the pub and if it's shite I could just go in the pub next door which is not showing the match safe in the knowledge that l have not spunked £30 on the rubbish that Pardews teams dish up.

I'm glad he's staying. while more and more people see him for what he is i think its best he stays instead another fucker coming in and people thinking he is ok. The fact some people were conned by him means they can be conned by anyone.

I don't understand that logic at all.....

You can't argue that Pardew is Ashley's puppet and then absolve Ashley of any blame

Who is ultimately at fault...the puppet or the bloke pulling the strings?

Conned?........what do you mean by conned?

Conned suggests that 5th place, European football and two manager of the season awards didn't really happen

Smashing ........keep up the repetitive little sound bites though about how you 'get football' and others don't

Never fails to raise a smile

Thanks for those comments on the article.

Totally fair points that the thrust was about Pardew. At the end of the day it is out there to give Ashley's camp food for thought since he isn't going until he gets a buyer.

The other issues brought up are just, and are very different debates. This one was done with a particular perspective and the beauty of this board is that anyone is welcome to submit their own articles with the sole proviso that they have to be within the law (i.e. no defamation etc).

Personally, I am delighted at the calibre of signings even though we hit this campaign short of a left back and central defender, as well as being a striker short after Ba left. Some of those other issues about player problems probably would have been addressed with avuncular approaches from the likes of SBR, Ferguson and Clough and are not beyond the resources of a manager in charge of a £100m turnover business.

If anyone wants to take different perspectives, please get writing and get your opinion out there in the wider domain. I'm sure TNMW and I will both be happy to lend a hand, whether we agree with the opinions or not. After all, it's all about debate!

I for 1 will not b renewing

As far as I am concerned, they are all as bad as each other.

Ashley's appointments to date have been pretty much shìte all round. Take Chris Mort out of the equation who was only helping temporarily right at the start, and all you have left is the debacle of Keegan for a few months. Everyone else from Wise, Jimenez, Kinnear and Llambias through to Pardew have been absolutely disastrous.

Special mention to Hughton (Not Houghton), for stabilising us, but he was never really Ashley's appointment - he just ended up in there by default and they couldn't get rid of him as he was doing so well.

I think it is true to say that Pardew has taken the heat off Ashley with his non-stop bullshìt laden press conferences filled with general smug annoyingness, which have turned into a factory line of excuses these last six months or so.

The focus is definitely on him and his clueless brand of football and piss poor man management.

But who has made the decision to stick by him after last season?

Who is sticking by an MD who isn't in the slightest qualified or able to manage the running of a Premier League club?

Who has created and nurtured the set up of the chief scout picking new players, a clueless MD sanctioining the purchases and an inept manager playing them wherever he can manage, whilst at the same time, embarking on a programme of relieving them of their footballing skills and motivation?

Ashley has cleverly deflected blame by ensuring his gobshite mouthpiece takes all the flak.

The casino hardman, way out of his depth also appears to be escaping any fans ire (Not that there is any).

It's a trio of incompetency, ineptness, inexperience, unprofessionalism with no desire to achieve footballing success, but purely to make a profit out of the club, and we're letting it happen.

For what it is worth have timed another article for the morning.

If it seems incoherent please let me know - am genuinely despairing.

Cracking read that Rex.

Let's just hope the penny starts dropping for the masses.

E wing no-one is absolving Ashley from blame but he is the owner and until HE decides otherwise, he will remain owner.

Fact is, we have a useless, clueless, lying **** of a manager and the owner had a great opportunity to show some doubters that he actually wants progress.

The fact he has kept Partridge shows his intentions

keeping this manager after the disastrous season we have had just undelines the fact that they havent a clue how to run a football club.
The only way to hit Ashley is in the pocket, and as 52 k still keep buying the season tickets, nothing will EVER change.

It could be argued that Ashley is thinking, clubs all over are changing manager at the moment, less media coverage for NUFC and sports direct owner Mike Ashley..

Wait until the season starts, sack Pardew after 2 or 3 games, NEWS splashed over Sky, Sports Direct owner sacks manager...

Total full coverage, not watered down by the number of clubs in the media at the moment..
