No problems Chips, quite the opposite.
As I said, it passed the morning for me, particularly as there was no football to watch, researching on line and then reverting to his book which is where I got his BDBL record from- HScore there 77.
What was curious was that, whilst looking through every YCCC match at the Lane in that era I came across a scorecard showing John Hampshire scoring 110 in a game there.(not out v Lancs in 1965).
I called John, in response to a question on the old Blades Mad
forum to check whether he had ever scored a 1st class hundred there and he told me that the only 100 he had got at BDBL was in the old John Player league.
Maybe his memory was playing tricks too, or the scorecards can't be trusted!

Anyone know when those 2 shorter floodlight pylons were taken down? First picture Ive ever seen with them. Never knew they'd been there.

A quick google tells me his last game was against Chelsea at the bridge in 1973

Might well have been there!
I have no recall of there ever being tents in the outfield though.
Could they have been scorers and players accom wih the football dressing rooms being used and the pavilion being redeveloped/demolished?
