Au Yeung would never have been in charge of the club to make the call on admin if the EFL failed him. Without having Yeung to 'sell to' Choi probably wouldn't have wanted to put us into admin or liquidation as it would damage him, IEC share price and see them lose even more money. I believe they'd have most likely had to get to summer and sell players and club to minimise his loses. Even if he asset stripped us we'd still be a Championship club and easier to sell.

This ones had been debated to death previously so I don't want to open up old wounds but IMO Choi was never going to spend another penny, Au Yeung (probably Choi's patsy) never wanted or intended to run a football club and didn't give two shits about EFL membership, the EFL could not have controlled or prevented the sale of the company ownership between IEC and NLF, they could only influence EFL membership, the Hong Kong twins made a right bollocks up as they could have recouped a load more money by adopting a different approach but (probably for factors unknown to me) they went down the stupid route they did with a complete disregard for the well being of the club, the players, the staff, the creditors and the fans.

I've always been suspicious of the timing in relation to IEC's move to buy the Manila Casino but this is entirely speculation on my part.

He left us for Caen and has played for Tigres and Toulouse prior to joining Montpelier. So only two clubs other than a loan to Tours since leaving us. As you say though, we probably won't get another add on fee.

You're reet of course!!
The website I was looking at had his clubs listed but not in the order that he played at them in!! :ooops:
So he's had 4 since leaving us
The others I had down (Ajaccio, Nimes & Metz) were all pre-Latics
That's still a good few clubs in the 5 & a bit years since he left which suggests either a player clubs & managers are glad to shift on coz he's a pain or a player & agent constantly looking to move on to keep generating the G's - he was certainly hawking himself round Europe prior to him giving us the honour (as he seemed to see it) of plumping for Latics & I think when Rosler was appointed manager at Leeds their chairman at the time criticised him signing Delort who he said they'd had one dealing with & given a wide berth to
In fact that was an odd appointment by Leeds coz the chairman really tore strips off his signings at Latics & said that's why we sacked him but they had a different recruitment policy where Rosler wouldn't have as much say so wouldn't sign duffers like Delort

Why do people have so much faith in LMB? He could be making the whole thing up. Why is he thought of so highly?
As it stands the info given by LMB as proven to be accurate! Until shown to be otherwise I will keep faith in what he says,to be intimating that he is not telling the truth is totally unfair based on his record so far!I

Expect to be disappointed by Frampton. I've done my research and see no proof of guaranteed funds from his "backer". Just like I saw none when I did my research on IEC and Stanley Choi way back when.

I'm big enough to apologise when wrong but I know what horse I'm backing.

Which horse are you backing then C? If it’s not to be Frampton then who else is there?

Good question MIW?!

It's not the spanish or americans as they have disappeared into the sunset.

Apparently RRR are out of the running from whats been said/posted.

Only leaves Smurfwaite doesn't it unless there is someone else we don't know about?

I think CL is backing "Unseated Rider" !

Do you really think that's the case Notts? Sometimes, you just need to put the bricks in order to know the truth.

Any road, Nixon certainly seems to be a little flummoxed now he doesn't appear to have anyone feeding him information in the same way they were doing previously.

Maybe today we'll hear a snippet or two today. Proof of funds, data room checks, I'm sure they've been going through standard procedural issues so far .............. if we've heard nowt, then I suppose in a way, (as Abram suggests) that's good news.

Nixon has moved on to predominantly talking about the Derby issues. Loves a good crisis.

I've assumed LMB has good contacts with people who are closer to what is going on at Wigan than I am and I appreciate LMB's sharing of what he can with us without him betraying the confidences of his contacts.

Nixon, as a professional sports journalist, will I assume have contacts established across many many sources, players, managers, agents, club officials, club admin, EFL officials, EFL admin, administrators, administrator company admin and any other interested parties with whom he can cultivate a relationship. Some will provide better intel than others. He'll no doubt get info that in itself is news worthy, or he'll be able to piece snippets together from multiple sources so he can glean a bigger picture.

I for one am glad of the differing sources of information and don't understand why we need to discredit one from another.
If you are uncertain about the provenience of validity of some shared information, ignore it.

Don't forget the stuff that nixon picks up trawling through clubs fans sites, and make no bones about it he does.

Are you saying I am telling lies ?

Not lies exactly...more unjustified rumours. There seems to be a prevailing view that we are all just waiting for this inevitable take over to take place, based only on hrsrss

For example?

Interesting news that Darren Title has today registered anew company with Companies House named UTT 2021,could be it his his group getting us!!
