When this is all sorted do you think we could contact New owners be it through sc or who ever to change stadium name to new Springfield and make stadium all blue seats and no pictures on the concourse that deface the stadium

What happened to all the cash raised to have names on a wall inside or out side the stadium
I presume it'll be in with the rest of the SC money John.

To be honest, there's no reason why it couldn't be completed, but if it isn't, I imagine the money will be returned to the donators.

Hang on now there's a point why don't sc when and if they put what money they do into the club get the naming rights too new Springfield anyone

You mean the rock shows at the Casino on a Saturday night

There certainly were rock shows circa 1976/7 ....they didn’t last that long, but it was Zeppelin, Deep Purple , Black Sabbath, Bad Company, Jethro Tull records and the rest .....then there was a ‘turn’ on about 9.00.... Saw one of the Schenker brothers in an earlier version of UFO/Scorpions, (I forget which) ....UPP ( a budget Emerson Lake & Palmer) ....Sam Apple Pie, Hustler (the band not the lads mag) ....

”Out out out get outta my house,
you better take yer trench coat too...
no daughter o mine’s going out wiv an hippie
or a scruffy little bleeder like you”......
classic :punk:

Although every act got an encore, sometimes two, the only one I remember getting three were The Kursaal Flyers who were superb, a bit mor pastiche on 50’s rock & roll rather than out and out rock but they went down a storm that night with Wigan’s rock afficianados
(in our defence I fancy this was before “Little does she know that I Know that she knows etc etc)

Then about half eleven ....we trooped out past all the soulies in their long leathers, clutching their holdalls ....We’d then go upstairs in Bluto’s if we’d missed last orders at the John Bull (which had only opened JUST before then)...
”Who knows were 40 odd years went ?”.....come on Sandy, I think we should be told

See mate it's all guess work there are lots of things to be sorted as well has those questions
I remember weeks ago they were on about how will or where will the funding come from
Due to the fact these Spaniards raise funds differently from how it's done here
I'm sure I read they use stock markets to raise funds to fund the club has they did previously I'm sure it was Nixon quoted that or might have been admin that might be just one problem efl are looking at as well has others

Leganes do indeed play the stock market to raise funds for the club.

Whilst at Wigan Tech in 74-76 we put some great nights on at The Casino. Hustler, Screaming Lord Such and Babe Ruth.
Had other great Rock nights downstairs at The Grand. Brilliant times.
