Oh, dear me Billy. The % stake doesn't necessarily (on it's own) define voting rights. It depends what's in the agreement. (Golden share etc).

I'm not saying that the Council do have a veto option, but given that they were obviously a hurdle that had to be overcome, they obviously had some kind of ability to kybosh the bid.
Wigan Council deserve only 2 fingers for their lack of support during this shambles never mind a trip round Willy Wonka's gaff

The Snake was played regularly at the Casino mate. I was there. Another favourite was The Night.
The night is an absolutely stonker of a song.

I went to watch Jersey Boys (story of FV & 4S) in the West End, but was disappointed that wasn't in the show.

Three before 8 played on repeat for ages then Russ W put on a random song to clear the place out

Only ever went to 1 All Nighters but went every week to the session before. They would turf us all out at about 11 and the All Nighters lot were queuing round the block with their baggie pants and badges.

Before my time sadly Hindley so never got in the place🙄 - love the classics though 😁👏

Because the council, as part owners of the Stadium Co, will need to agree any proposed changes to the rent under the lease ...........or at least, that's what I'm assuming.

You are a forgetful silly-billy at times Hampton. ;)

I partly agree ....... I imagine that the rent from both WAFC and WRLFC will be going up, with the agreement of the council.

Wigan Today did an article last month about the lease and the council's possible grounds for withholding it and the guy who wrote it (Wilkinson) said that the rent payable by either club is a matter between the owners and the clubs and is not an issue that the council could withhold a lease for
Whatever the issue was I'm pretty certain therefore that it wasn't to do with any potential rent increase

Fair enough MB........though I can't think what else might require their ratification.

Wigan council supporting the interest of the rugby and it's owners first last and everything inbetween - that's never happened before !
It a 1980's back to the future episode - stinks the place out.
