Does anyone know if tickets are available to buy at the Stadium on the night?
I've not seen it posted anywhere. I'll be ringing Wigan this afternoon to find out. If not I'll be missing my second most local game coming in at just over 20 miles; a mile further than the Bolton game.

My brother is convinced he went to the old ground back in the 80's or 90's and there was a donkey on the shabby terrace behind the goal. He is adamant it didn't have a No 9 on its back and he hadn't touched a drop of drink

What were laughingly called 'stands' at the sides of the pitch were more like open stables.
They wouldn't have been allowed in the league with that ground had the standards, that were introduced a few years later, been in place. It was like poor man's version of the Shay, as it was.

I remember standing on that mud bank at Springfield Park with a few few concrete steps at the front. What made me laugh is they had blocked off the very top of the mud bank (terrace) with a wall of old doors

This will be my 3rd ground in Wigan tonight I also saw Wigan play Warrington in front of 21,000 at Central Park back in the late 80's

Will be restricting myself to IFollow tonight. Having to reign in the spending a tad especially with the way petrol is going through the roof, plus having two new doors fitted in a couple of weeks time. Looking into November with trips to Sunderland (call ups might get that one put back) and Donny this one has had to go by the wayside.

Still can get nice and snug in front of the laptop.

Tougher game tonight than Saturday with the form they are in, but we do pick our game up against better sides. Their confidence might allow us some counter attacking chances. Just need to take them

Apparently all their signings were on frees....
So Wyke and McLean didn't get massive signing on fees for joining them...
Going out of business one year with fans crying to signing championship players the next, what a fairytale...

Excellent! The jokes write themselves…….didn’t answer to the name of Drewe Broughton did it?
