Grigg has been a major disappointment since signing from Wigan Athletic in the last January window, the 28-year-old striker has scored just three goals this season and just one in League One.
The Sun claim Blackpool boss – and former Black Cats manager Simon Grayson – is weighing up a loan move next month and keeping tabs on his situation.
The report states Blackpool would be interested if a deal could be agreed around his wages being split.

Grigg came off the bench in the 1-1 draw with Blackpool at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
Phil Parkinson has previously spoken highly of Grigg, speaking in November he said: “We definitely won’t give up on him, we will keep working with him, I see his qualities in training, his calmness in finishing both with his feet and his head as well.”

Will Grigg could be one of them who comes after his career has gone downhill slightly and we get him back on track which we have done many times over the years for certain players.

He is on fire after all.

Blackpool rivalling Championship clubs for Sunderland outcast Aiden McGeady

Aiden McGeady appears to have played his last game for Phil Parkinson's Sunderland with a move to Simon Grayson's League One rivals a possibility.

Simon Grayson’s Blackpool would be very happy to offer Aiden McGeady a route out of his Sunderland nightmare, according to the Northern Echo, while a number of Championship clubs are also eyeing up the veteran winger.
With the Black Cats slipping ever further into mid-table mediocrity, the last thing these poor Sunderland fans needed was to find out that their most naturally gifted footballer, not to mention their top scorer, was heading out of the door.

Under-fire coach Phil Parkinson admitted to the Mail last week that McGeady has been informed that he is free to leave the Stadium of Light during the January transfer window.

This ill-timed revelation came just days after the former Celtic and Everton star was spotted refuelling in McDonalds after a 1-0 defeat to Gillingham – an incident which has split Sunderland fans down the middle.
Regardless of what you think about McGeady’s conduct, however, the imminent departure of the club’s reigning Player of the Year will do Sunderland’s chances of reclaiming a play-off place in the months ahead no good whatsoever.

There is no doubt that McGeady, with 14 goals and six assists in 2019/20, has the talent to thrive at second tier level and the Echo reports that plenty of Championship clubs would be happy to hand him a fresh start.
The prospect of McGeady inspiring Blackpool to promotion from the third tier, however, would be very difficult to stomach for Sunderland supporters. Speaking to the Gazette last week, ex-Black Cats boss Grayson hinted that he would love to reunite with a ‘fantastic player’ at Bloomfield Road.
All in all, it is not exactly shaping up to be a happy Christmas on Wearside.

Jones would go down well with Ingham. he was on the bench when Alice potts was subbed and threw his shirt into N block in a tantrum, Ingham gave him plenty and Jones responded, getting even more abuse to him. spineless pair of anchors

What we need is someone else who can score goals along with Gnads! Maybe a midfielder who can score?

Southampton want teenage Blackpool talent to emulate Gareth Bale Blackpool's Tony Weston is a rumoured Southampton target. Blackpool's Tony Weston during the FA Cup First Round match between Blackpool FC and Maidstone United at Bloomfield Road on December 1, 2019 in Blackpool, England. Southampton are being linked with the teenage Blackpool forward, Tony Weston. The Telegraph reports Southampton want to make Weston "one of their prospects", and hope that he can "follow in the footsteps" of former Saints youngsters like Gareth Bale. The Liverpool-born player only turned 16 in September, but has trained with Simon Grayson's first-team and made debut against Maidstone in the FA Cup at the start of this month. Speaking in November, Grayson said he "knows for sure" that there are other clubs watching Weston, and Southampton are the first to be named. The Saints boast one of the country's top academies, which has produced England internationals Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Adam Lallana, Theo Walcott, Calum Chambers, Luke Shaw and James Ward-Prowse, as well as the Wales star, Bale, and a move to St Mary's may appeal to Weston should an offer arrive. . It remains to be seen what sort of fee would be required to prise Weston away from Blackpool, although he is not yet tied to a professional contract at Bloomfield Road.

Heard about that last week and know where the rumour has come from, but it's not a concrete source.
