I presume you meant "top player" ... but why should that bring in new fans?

If the top player was going to actually play, then I see your logic ... but given he's going to "manage", (and he's not done it before) why would that influence anyone who doesn't normally (regularly) go?

Caveat - this is in no way a slight on the new manager ... just puzzled by the logic.
