GB news

Having said that, working class Tories (think Alf Garnett) do really piss me off. The Tories have always been the enemy of the working class but because of so many working class people are undereducated and full of prejudice the Tories get their vote.

The disappointing thing is you are educated and not prejudiced, but you don't vote.

As a working man, I do appreciate you educating me with all the links you provide!

I thought you were working this week? Has that finished?

I think Labour have taken that badge.
The red wall seats will continue to fall in my opinion.
Take the upcoming Batley by-election , this is Labours manifesto.
Will the working class really vote for this stuff ?View attachment 49634

Corbyn's policies were very popular with the working class. It was just that many didn't like him very much (at least partially because the right wing media did such a good hatchet job on him). And then of course the whole Brexit thing really counted against him too.

I'd agree that the Labour party have not represented the working class for a long time. In some ways, because of the influence of the middle class Fabien Society, it could be argued that they never really did.

Mind you, the post WWII Atlee government didn't do too bad. We have them to thank for our revered National Health Service. If it had been up to the Tories it would never ever have been created. And ever since it was, the Tories have done their level best to sell it off and fuck it up. They'd prefer we had something more like what they've got in America. I think most people are glad we don't.

I've finished for the day today (started at 5am), we got it all sorted really quickly so I'm back in time for the 2pm game for first time this week. On Tuesday I started at 5am and didn't finish until 6.30pm. very little to do during our break times which is why I've posted on a few occasions. Why am I explaining this to you??!!

We've been through the voting thing before. I'm an anarchist so I don't believe that voting does any good, it merely endorses a system that I oppose.

And because I"m a traveller it's a right ball ache to get on the electoral role. I can assure you though, that if I had an address I would register to vote and would spoil my paper (I have done this in the past and may well do again).

You might not agree with me but my position does make sense.

And with regard to the education thing, I'm only privileged enough to have had a half decent education because of the unfair and archaic Grammar school system that is still used in Kent. It's been both a blessing and a curse to me.

GB news looking like a low budget outfit but then so did many other news outlets initially.
First thoughts are that it looks like a brexit channel with the same faces and giving a one dimensional view of any item with lots of mentioning of the flag and wokeism.

seems reminiscent of cnn v fox where neither channel seems to put up any opposing voices anymore. Time will tell if they manage to gain a large audience.
More news channels the better as far as I am concerned.

The legislator has already thrown the chinese news channel off of the air and would like to chuck RT off as well. It should be up to the viewer as to what they watch.

😂😂
I assume that you took a look at their Twitter feeds?
And they have the nerve to criticise others 😂
I don’t do Twitter and didn’t realise that there are so many mentally ill people out there.😂

one of the reasons that trump used it so successfully.

Years ago people paid to watch mad people in lunatic asylums. Now its free entry on Twitter the home of divisions where you can watch the puppets dance for our masters lol.

Just like the US we have people here trying to get media defunded and advertisers to pull out because they may be offended by what is said on a media outlet that they may not like. Fascism is live and well.

What would happen if we tried to start a real fully funded Anarchosocialist channel lol.

GB News Moneysupermarket, Ikea, Vodafone and Bosch back down on blacklisting
didnt last long, woke warrior snowflakes won’t be happy with this.

I haven't seen a lot of GB News - I've flicked it on and seen some of the technical glitches and cheap looking studios, which isn't ideal. I've also seen some of the presenters and pundits lined-up and there are some good (like Neil himself) and some terrible (the awful tabloid Covid denier, Dan Wootton, for example), so I'll probably just infrequently dip in and out of it as I do with other news and media outlets. However, it seems to have got the usual leftie "everything is racist" cancel culture protagonists rattled, so it must be doing something right.
"Covid denier" ??
Surely you haven't fallen for the pro-Lockdown terminology?

Wotton does not "deny" that Covid exists.
He certainly argues that the Lockdown is OTT.

He may have argued that the data shows that the number of deaths is not outside living experience - when adjusted for population increase.

He may have pointed out that people are dying from undiagnosed cancer (and other things) due to tests being postponed.

He may have pointed out the economic hardship many are experiencing - or loss of fitness - which may lead to illness.

None of that "denies" that Covid is real.

"Which" working class ?
Anyway, you carry on thinking that.(y)

Any evidence ?
i) "selling off the NHS" seems to be a favourite theme (myth) in Guardian circles.

ii) "prefer we had something more like what they've got in America"
Even more ridiculous.
There is plenty to criticise about the NHS, but if you can name even one nutjob - who is also a Conservative spokesman - that would want to copy the over-priced American health system, I would be astonished.

"revered National Health Service"
So "revered" that no country (other than Cuba IIRC) has copied it.

Despite the hard work and dedication of medics, struggling to work in sclerotic organisation.....
....the NHS is hardly known for its efficiency, purchasing acumen and prudent use of resources.

Has not the biggest source of Covid transmission been hospitals ?

Why can't we have a sensible discussion - after understanding how other European countries manage their health systems - without your dreaded "privatisation" ?
