Gabby Agbonlahor thread

There are so many things you'd have thought the club would have known or done tbh. I've never seen a business so incompetent in its own industry. As for Gabby he hasn't been at the races for years now. Do we actually know that he isn't trying and is trouble in the club?

I think they see Gestede as Benteke's replacement. A lot to ask of anyone. Even Benteke these days it seems.

After his goal on Tuesday and his assist yesterday hopefully he will start to find the net more often now and start bullying defences like he did in the championship.

Put your finger on the pulse there Wurz we hear so many rumours but thats all they ever are Rumours .We all know about his sexploits but the rest I take with a large pinch of salt. Bad influence on younger players for a start strange in all his years at Villa I do not ever remember Gabby going out on the piss and pics of him lying in the gutter. Most of it is invented speculation with no real proof to be found anywhere. Its just like the counter rumours that he was carrying an injury from the start of the season which cumulated in the famous Neville 8 touch piss take, why play an injured player just more rumour.
For me and I was a strong supporter of Gabby the folks who think he has gone stale have it about right. Still that being said would like to see a fit Gabby having a go in the championship if that is to be our fate if not then by all means move him on as he no longer seems up to mark for the premiership.

Gestede was awful last night. No movement , poor touch , nothing.

Dean Saunders said he was awful too, didn't break into a sweat.
Said no point whipping crosses in to him, hasn't got the pace to get on them. Just float them in to the penalty spot and hope.

But was he better than Gabby?

Must admit I thought the lay off he made was perhaps a mis control.....

Yup 67. He had his day, and it hasn't been great the last few seasons. Time for someone else to take their chance.

I think Gabby should get one last go. Our other strikers aren't exactly undroppable so lets see how much Gabby cares and give him a few games. lets face it it cant get much worse

:10: ..... And how many 'last goes' should he get. I think he's had about half a dozen by now.......

Last night was probably the game to try him if he was going to get another chance - or a chance under this manager.

Wasn't even on the bench, so says it all, unless he still has an injury or 'injury'

There is absolutely no sense in playing an unfit, 2 stone overweight Gabby.
The thing to do with him is either make him lose the weight, or sell him.
I think Garde wants him gone, simply because he sees that Gabby has no footballing talent but, I think Lerner will not allow it, simply because so many fans have given him the name of, (Mr Aston Villa), more in hope and expectation I think, kind of like that that has been surrounding Grealish over the past two/three seasons.

So as I kind of suggested, it appears as though that Mr Aston Villas has in fact spat his dummy out. If he was available last night and didn't get selected it pretty much confirms it? Unless of course Duverne singled him out to remi from his 1st stint and he was gone from day 1.

So we're bottom of the league, he's not been performing, is asked to train more for his 70k per week and captaincy role and thinks it's unfair?

WOW is all I can say, probably the most unprofessional bunch of players ever assembled. All I know is that Gabby, zog and guzan have been the ever presents and the ones getting stick.

I like remi, takes no shit and can see what the fans do.

I just wish Gabby would try for the team he supports, people actually still worship you FFS. How could you not motivate yourself!?

He thinks he's untouchable, and the fact that the club keep on throwing new 4 year deals at him at every opportunity just reinforces that in his mind

Gabby was never a centre-forward.
He was a natural old-fashioned inside forward, picking up knock ons, knock downs and loose balls and very occasionally setting up other players.
When MON told Gabby he needed to bulk up, so he could bully central defenders from corners and long ball punts, he took away Gabby's greatest weapon, which was his speed combined with his maneuverability.

<p><font size="4">Well he was look in peak condition again yesterday</font></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><img width="576" height="1024" border="0" src="https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CZ_jI-nWQAAyReO.jpg" />&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

Shameful.
Along with the Zog he needs to be trained and trained by a fitness coach. Double sessions everyday - extended hours - until he's bleeding through his eyes. Absolutely no easy rides.

They should be begging to leave - not happy and content to milk the club week in week out.

STEALING a living.
