FFP charges?

There is a report in the media stating Leeds will take legal action against us if we are found guilty.
If we are found guilty, which I doubt, I do not think there is a provision in the rules for Leeds to take legal action against us or Everton.

I read that the rules state that Clubs are bound by collective responsibility and have to bide by the verdict and punishment levied by the IC.

I dont think for one minute that Leeds will feel they are bound by any rules, and will attempt to take legal action, purely by virtue of the fact they are owned by a bunch of loud mouthed Americans, and taking legal action is their answer to everything.

Can't see them intimidating EM no matter how loud mouthed they are

Everton are likely gonna be told the outcome of their appeal around this time next week(mid feb). Will this give us some insight into what our penalty may be? I wonder if there have been any leaks as one media source indicates it would unlikely be a good out come for them.

Don't worry chap, Bert has just turned up with a full sack of them, so a good outcome chap!

I would not think so; their charges are totally different to ours.

I would also guess that there is as much chance of their penalty being increased as there is of it being reduced.

Who is the media source?

Since there are fewer left- footers, there are statistically going to be fewer left- backs who are naturally left- footed. As we have established, Aina has played left- back for Forest and got to a AFCON final playing left- sided for Nigeria.

Laryea is right- footed, but played on the left, including at the World Cup finals. It is not "disgusting" not to have two natural left-footed left- backs in a 25- man squad- on the contrary, it is better to have versatile players available as well as specialists, which in the case of Aina, Williams and Laryea, Forest have available to complement Toffolo. There are also going to be times when FOrest play 3 at the back, and someone is playing left- side further up the field, e.g. Dominguez. But there is no point in arguing with someone who is determined to see the clouds rather than the silver lining.

He has a point zed eh?

Because of ffp Newcastle unable to strengthen despite obvious weakness. Recently Burn has shown difficulties containing a fast winger. Howe has continued to pick hm as he is required for his height to support both CB’s, also gain advantage at set pieces. Reports suggest he is likely to pick Livramento at left back, an excellent full back but is a right back. This leaves Newcastle more vulnerable in the air in central defence. Without Wood Forest are unlikely to be able to take advantage. Set pieces maybe one area we can benefit from but we have been woeful. When will we see something from our set piece coach? Decent delivery is all I ask.

Awoniyi is not bad in the air and very difficult to stop

Don’t know whether this has been said before (and can’t be bothered to trawl backwards) but if clubs have to submit accounts by June, why does it take until April to find out our fate? If we are 12 points clear, and are docked 12 points won’t that give conspiracy theorists ammunition for the notion that the EPL are biased against us. It could be said that they will dock us sufficient points to send us down.

No it has not been said before.

The Club do not have to submit accounts by the end of June; that is the end of the financial year.

The accounts have to be submitted to the PL by the end of December and with Companies House by the end of March.

The remainder of the post is gibberish

Your last sentence is golden, duck.

It’s like some posters believe the EPL, PGMOL, VAR and media are competent enough to organise an 8 club (given their dribbling conspiracy nonsense concerns the big 8) cabal to cheat Forest out of their premiership existence.

Honestly, some of the shite that has been uttered concerning the incompetence of recent officiating is bordering on troubling: troubling to the mental stability of the posters in question.

Tin hat fraternities don't do it justice!

Its not to say we've not been on the end of some shocking decisions, but, to think there is an organised attempt to surreptitiously remove Forest from the league...cuckoo!

Having given this a bit of thought, surely our FFP breach had no effect on Leeds . If we had sold BJ for £30 million on the 30th June, my understanding is we would have met the FFP rules. As the season finished in May, selling him in June, July or August made no difference to last season. Arguably it has made more difference to this season, as we got three games out of him before we sold him, which obviously wouldn't be the case if we had to sell him (or anyone else) by the end of June.

They have no chance.

They finished second bottom below Leicester anyway, and the season was finished before we were in breach, if indeed we even were. There is no case to answer for us.
