Ex-Millers on the move

04/09/23

BBC Football website - Kieran Sadlier has moved from Bolton W. (out of contract) to Wycombe Wanderers. He made 27 Millers league appearances , scored 2 goals (Think at least one goal was a penalty?). Some Donny fans were annoyed that we had poached him, but he never lived up to expectations with us and was injured for quite a lot of the time.

BBC Football website - Don't know where he is going but, Neil Warnock is to leave his job as manager of Huddersfield Town after their next game. Waited until he had won an easy home fixture against us though.

Re Neil .Warnock - just heard him on the radio - he didn't sound very happy about leaving.
He didn't sound very happy at leaving because him and Ronnie Jepson didn't want to leave.
He's adamant he's not retiring either.

Forgot to say....
Huddersfield owner already has someone in mind and unfortunately Neil and Ronnie were not involved or informed who the new manager is.

Darren Moore.???
Or perhaps another Foreigner.

Yorkshire Post - Neil Redfearn has been apoointed as assistant head coach at Oldham Athletic of the National League. He is second in command to another ex-Miller, Steve Thompson.
Steve Thompson and Neil Redfearn have worked together at Leeds.
They've known each other a long long while.
Both were apprentices at the same time at Bolton Wanderers.
Always thought N.R. didn't get enough of a chance with us.
That season we were more or less nailed on for relegation and in my opinion Neal Redfearn would have been the ideal coach to rebuild our club bringing some youngsters through.

BBC Football website - Ex-Millers right-back, Robbie Stockdale, has been appointed as assistant manager of Gillingham, following his fairly recent departure from Rochdale.

Also one that we missed earlier in the season - Scott Allan has moved from Arbroath to Larne (N. Ireland) on loan.

BBC Football website - Scott Marshall , who played for the Millers in the 1993/94 season (on loan from Arsenal), has been appointed as interim manager of Colchester United. He was previously the assistant head coach at CUFC , and a few months earler had been a coach at Charlton Athletic. Played 10 league games for the Millers.

Just seen that ex Miller Dave Artell has got the manager's job at Grimsby Town.

Born in Rotherham centre-back Dave was with the Millers from 1998 to 2003.

Wish him all the best.
Good luck David.
His Mum and Dad have been supporting the Millers for a long, long while.
Dave has been waiting for the right opportunity to get back into Management.
Grimsby Town may just be the challenge he needs.
