I'm not sure the RPI inflation applies here -
It was about 90% of the English record fee.
Or about 250,000 admissions to the ground.

Rene Howe made his debut today for Walton Casuals of the Southern League Premier Division South after recently joining them from SL Premier Division Central side Kings Langley. Didn't score though.
Another one of Peterborough's wastes of money.
I've watched the latest series of the Salford documentaries and it covers both the Green and Arnold moves.
The Green one isn't too in depth but the Arnold one was interesting because the '92' didn't think that Arnold would fit in but they went along with the management teams wishes.
But more interesting was that after Arnold did that piece in the Echo about Salford being unprofessional, which features in an episode, it came to light soon after that it was as unprofessional as he was making out because they'd trained once in a week and that seemed to be the beginning of the end of the management team there.
