If the players signed under the EFL salary limit have their wages deferred, they will be on £150K per year (until salaries made up). That is very good money by most people's standards, but not for being a footballer in the Championship.

These are two separate punishments (12 pts for admin and the 9 +3 points for P&S breeches).
So can the following happen?

The EFL can keep the P&S punishment in their back pocket until the end of the season, to see where Derby are.
If they have survived relegation, then they can apply the 9+3 to send them down, ergo punish them. But if these admin 12 points send them down on their own, then they will apply the 9+3 next season, as this season would not be a punishment.
