Champions League 2022-23

Not unhappy with that draw
As Gary said there could be a banana skin here or there
But all the games, are indeed winnable.
I wait for the "Big boys" next round, I'll take, a glamour tie then.

Let's hope we don't play like we did in the Conference league last season. We underestimated numerous teams and got beat.

I'm really looking forward to this but feel we need to add some class before the transfer window shuts. Technically gifted players who keep the ball with ease.

After watching Frankfurt last season in the Europa they are a good team.

This is actually a very tricky group.

Looks a great group (some good away days there) but it's tricky.

Every game will be tight and they all have the quality to hurt us, we really should get enough points in the home games though to progress.

What are we more likely to win, the PL or the CL ?

We're about 14/1 to win both on most sites and I'd say that's about right.

Probably just about more likely to win the league I'd say, to win the CL we would have to probably beat 2 of Bayern, PSG, Madrid, City, Liverpool. (over 2 legs)

We could get a bit lucky in the league if City slip up a few times.

That's if we don't slip up a few times as well!

I dunno
I think we're perfectly set up for the CL challange.
A bit boring and hard to beat away, whilst being able to score and maintain a result at home, that should do OK.
We are able to manage our games now a bit better, not so much of the backs to the wall stuff.
I think tactically we'll do OK not exciting but OK.

I'd say we're more likely to get a result against 2 big European teams than we are to go toe to toe with Man City across 38 games.

The dates have been announced:

Matchday 1
September 7 - Olympique de Marseille (H)

Matchday 2
September 13 - Sporting Clube de Portugal (A)

As we play away to City on the 10 September that's probably as good as we could have hoped for.

Arsenal away, Frankfurt away and Brighton away in the space of seven days looks like a tough week.
