Bristol City (H)

After the fluke result at Birmingham where we scored 2 lucky goals. We yet again bottle an easily winnable game. I accepted relegation, I just hope some of you guys realise that under Cook, there won't ever be a situation where we will turn A page. He has failed to do that with a generous amount of chances this season. Under Cook, we are relegated. Just accept it now because the frauds in the boardroom don't care and possibly accepted it themselves. He should of gone long ago, but because of the fluke result at Birmingham, the board see him as the messiah, he won't be sacked. No bottle to make big (easy) decisions since Whelan left.

Should have won that but shot ourselves in the foot once again. Our inability to score is a disgrace for professional footballers. The front 4 were once again a terrible selection from Cook. Apart from one hit and hope chance that Marshall tipped over, Bristol City did absolutely nothing and then get a lucky offside goal and then it's game over as we can't score.

How many times are we going to dominate and fail to win until Cook realise his line ups are so wrong. Lowe should not be playing, 3 tap ins all missed again. Williams is not a AM, Dowell is not a wide player.

Something HAS to change.......we are sleepwalking to relegation at the moment.Just a thought ...how about giving Gregor Rioch a go at the managers job....after all, he’s working wonders with the academy lads so he obviously has something about him and he consistently produces winning teams.

What is this domination you talk about, lots of possession but not even testing the goalkeeper ???

Bristol city did not just get a lucky off side goal, they played us like an old fiddle and were ruthless when they got a couple of chances, for all our possession they never looked in any danger, the goal may have been offside but it was from a quick precise move against the slowest reacting team in this league.

Time up for Lowe today and all...’powder puff’ just about covers it.

1st half, dominating play but with no final ball or threat in the box....game got stretched after 70 minutes and their breaks were then far more threatening and purposeful.....ours weren’t.

Our prime attacking threat is the hope that our left back continually gallops down the wing....not fair on Robinson ....and not producing many chances.

I get what your saying and he has no doubt worked wonders for the academy, but Warren Joyce won every trophy available at youth level. It would be like signing Ivan Toney even though we know that Grigg was a better striker but still didn't work out at this level.

Today's possession stat just shows how ineffective this system is. The centre midfield has zero attacking threat but is also absent when we defend. Liverpool (and us under Martinez), worked the ball well from the back. They did it by letting the defenders bring the ball to the half way and having 8 options ahead of them in the 2nd half of the pitch. We currently have midfielders picking the ball up on the edge of our area and only having 4 options in over two thirds of the pitch. It's an away teams dream to watch us burn energy like that

I see you post a lot across different threads and every post you produce is a wind up. Why even log in when all you do is troll?

We had 69% possession and 17 shots to 6. We spent the majority of the game in their half and they offered nothing.

The reason we lost was because of the appalling finishing and decision making up top. 7 saves from the keeper, every shot straight at him. How many times did we take an extra pass rather than cross or shoot?

It's just not working. Today was the day to get some momentum and the team shat the bed yet again. 3 centre mids. Dowdell forced wider Lowe doing nothing and windass being typical. Teams can sit in and give us 70% possession. Takes. 15 passes to go left to right and theres no threat from the final delivery. For whatever reason we're trapped with Cook and things can't get better by staying the same

Point out any posts that are wind ups, we never troubled bristol city they played a perfect away game, let us have possession and took their chances when they had them, they had no need to offer anything.

4 wins in 27 games indicates you are the troll if you can take any positives from today, there was nothing lucky about their goals even though the first did look offside, the big lad in midfield for them slipped a perfect pass for the first and made a cracking run for the second, forget about criticising forwards look at our midfield and tell me the last time you saw a pass from any of then that had the same quality of the two that led to goals today.

Once again another average side on a poor run of form might it be said come to our place and come away with the points. Which emphasises just how poor we are under Cook's leadership.

Negative tactics, too many safe and cautious passes, players played out of position, players out of form and not good enough (Lowe) playing the full 90 minutes, our best striker sat on the bench in Garner and our best youth prospect arguably ever consiged to the odd 20 min cameo every now and again

Cook should have gone months ago and the club is sleepwalking to relegation.

Christ could we do with a striker like Bristols 9 today.
We are literally crying out for a focal point like that - amazing strikes - out of nothing.
Mind you 🤡 would find a way to pick Jamal or Massey in front of him
We can’t afford a striker like him that’s the problem. We can only afford to shop in the League 1 market which is hugely overinflated anyway so I can’t see how we are going to solve our shit attack by buying more of the same. We need a proven scorer at this level not another gamble on someone we think might be able to do it. You watch, we’ll end up with someone like Madine who is hardly prolific and we’ll go back to the lump it to the target man tactics! That would be absolutely laughable by the way but nothing is surprising me anymore the way this season is going.
