Not if the personnel are capable of playing to Ange's tacts.
I think Teden Mengi could play on the right with VdV
Yeah I do agree with this...AP is still a few windows of hopefully kitting out the squad to his liking.

As I've said many times, I'd push Romero into that no.6 role, I suspect he'd be brilliant at it.Not if the personnel are capable of playing to Ange's tacts.

It'll win us a lot of fans but it won't win us any honours.66 is the record goals conceded
On course to get close to that, which is a disgrace with the players with had
Kamikazeball is not going to work
A lot of the problems is down to the players themselves and add to that NO BLOODY LEADER on the pitch this can only mean that the Coach gets all the blame! and its not us guv! cos we are protected.
Obviously "Todays" players are as thick as shit! if they cannot see what is going wrong during the game.
Don't get me wrong muttley, I know nobody is giving Angie all the blame, well some are I am afraid, I was just trying to hi lite that the players themselves have to have a good look in the mirror.Nobody is giving Ange all the blame, just his share. He is the one in control of the next move. He can tweak his tactics, he can switch players around and he can get the club some credibility back in the NLD after yesterday's shit show.
Personally, I hope he focuses on the full-backs and centre mids. I think he could solve a lot by building a stronger structure around them. They've been set up for failure despite their current poor form. Those 2 things go together anyway.
Everyone here seems to feel we need a top quality number 6 who can sit back when the full/wings backs bomb forward into midfield but the fact is one of our current players could do this if that's what Ange expects to happen. The fact it doesn't is either down to the relevant player(s) not doing it or more likely Ange playing this risk/reward style of football and relying on the two centre backs alone to cover counter attacks.Don't get me wrong muttley, I know nobody is giving Angie all the blame, well some are I am afraid, I was just trying to hi lite that the players themselves have to have a good look in the mirror.
Agreed regards the Full/Wing back situation, and for me also our Central Midfield, it has gone so bloody wrong there, reasons this or that, we really do need that CDM who can drop into make a 3 across the back, we have had those types in the past, it most certainly works.
NLD next we can do it! over to you Angie and your players,

It's not rocket science is it!I'm glad someone else can see this. Leaving your defenders exposed and one-on-one is a recipe for disaster. Always has been, always will be.

This is where Dier excelled in Poch's system, he was fantastic at shielding and we often had a fullback in reserve to mop up. Udogie doesn't seem to want to track back and doesn't make up for it with goals at the other end either. Strange situation we are in!I'm glad someone else can see this. To be fair to Udogie I don't think he looks 100% fit now. I think Ex mentioned in another thread he's carrying an injury. It's a brutal role he's being asked to play and particularly so for a young player in his first PL season. This is where Dier excelled in Poch's system, he was fantastic at shielding and we often had a fullback in reserve to mop up. Earlier in the season he was covering both ends of the pitch and one of the features of his game was his willingness and ability to track back and recover.
I think it's catching up with him now though. Unfortunately for him Ange doesn't seem to think he has any alternative but to continue playing him.

I still think a lot of our defensive problems would be solved with a very good no. 6 box-to-box player who can drop back into the CB position when we've pushed up. Mickey has scored a couple of goals now by being in the box at the right time but had the ball quickly come down the other way, who would have been there to cover? Romero generally hangs back when Mickey pushes up and vice versa but need that special player to help out, and it ain't Hojberg or Biss. And it certainly doeasn't make sense for Madders to be dropping back when we've pushed up. Set pieces........well that's another matter to discuss. Don't think Mason and Jedinak are cut out for that. Need a specialist set piece coach.
