He still said it however you want to interpret it, and there is no problem just wish our manager would sound more professional instead of talking like he’s one of the lads! and I only mention it because there was talk on here early of him being to pally with the players!

I also said that was probably his nature with him being a nice guy, But you didn’t pick up on that.

Players like Pele, Cruyff, Maradona etc would be even better with modern advances in nutrition, diets, coaching and not getting the shit kicked out of them each week.

Nope, I did respond to the pally post earlier too and there may be something in that. Although Klopp always appears very pally with his players and it hasn't done him any harm.
Plenty of managers call players by their first name, it means nothing and isn't unprofessional in the slightest
Over the last couple of weeks some people have been nitpicking everything within the club, even to the point of seeing things that aren't really there just to push their case for the bloke to go.

This is the point I'm making. People trying to make out he says Decs in a nickname way, when in reality he said Dec's - there is a difference.

Just comes across as making up more BS to try and turn the tide against him.

I'm 60/40 on Deano, but its results that will make my mind up not this or spurious stories of the goings on behind the scenes.

There’s a difference? Where! Decs… Dec’s…it is a nickname, he’s called Declan, and you’re correct you can call players by their fist name, I’ve no issue with that.

TBH I'm probably 50/50 on Smith and a shocking result tomorrow could tip that to being 60/40 against Smith but what is grating on here is how some are bashing him for any old reason and trying to erase his legitimate achievements here.

‘But it’s results that will make my mind up’ couldn’t agree more that’s why the 6 defeats in 10 have made my mind up.

We’re not bashing him for any old reason, once again we’re talking about is pally side with the players, I used the interview on Sky after the game to highlight that point, like his inability to drop or sub Watkins, and wondering if this in some way is hindering is management style, he comes across as one off the boys when I wish I’d come across like he’s in charge..just my view, and I’ll reiterate I want Smith gone because it’s a results game, not cos he’s mates with the players.

So that's lower league Wallsall and Brentford players then? It's all relative to what they've experienced before and who they are comparing him to which doesn't say much at that level. No current Villa player is going to publicly slate the manager. We know that one player has left him and all he does is talk about what a step up England and Man City is.

I must say, the Sausage sandwich story in that video was riveting. If Mings ever comes in eating a Sausage sarnie Dean will have an opportunity to stamp that out of our "culture" and grow us as a football club. Perhaps we should think about bringing in a Sausage specialist to help him just in case?

I believe you’re missing the point that’s trying to be made, not surprised if I’m honest, once again it’s nothing to do with first names being used, I don’t expect him to say Mr McGinn, or Master Bidace, I just want him to sound professional on Sky TV.
