Thommo

Sadly we are a country influenced by people who don’t think before they speak or type.

I hope the other forum member apologises and realises their misinterpretation of your original post as there’s no place on this forum for false accusations and slander.

Unfortunately it’s fashionable to alienate someone for another’s own sense of moral superiority. Similar parallels to what’s happened with Thommo!
After 24 hours I am still seething. However, I apologise to Domski2017 for my angry rude outburst.

Thinking aloud here- if BBC Radio Lincolnshire want an ex player style pundit why don’t they put Lee Frecklington through a broadcast journalism course and get him involved.

Get someone younger, fresh out of the game who understanding current football. Lee knows the present game having played championship down to league two and at the very least is more likely to know the names and stats of our players and the oppositions.

Get rid of Steve Thompson, I’m sick of his boring commentary, irrelevant story’s and dinosaur views and use of the English language. He can then get back on Twitter ‘liking’ and commenting on trashy porn models, classy guy!

You are being ageist.

Ha! I’m being progressive.

If you really want to listen to the same stories about him playing in defence for Boston United in the late 1970s - be my guest.

Some of us like living in the past. It's the only thing to look forward to. Well according to 'The Likely Lads' theme song.
Jethro Tull also had a tune about it.
Look them up and tell me that you're still not convinced.
A man who is tired of Thommo is tired of life!

I love a bit of reminiscing, especially about music or sport but when you are talking about it for a job, broadcast journalism - we need to move forward a bit. Otherwise we would all still be watching Grandstand on Saturday afternoons 😴

I quite enjoyed Sportsnight and looked forward to it as a kid. Harry Carpenter was a fantastic presenter and theme tune was something else. Fantastic.
