A higher % of people approval of Kier Starmer today (47%- 45%) than approve of Johnson. Let that sink in. After 2 months ten years of damage caused by incompetent leadership has been recovered.

Starmer is a far less polarising figure as well; while his raw approval rating is slightly higher than Johnson, the % disapproving of him is far, far lower.

You shouldn't be celebrating that they have "got away" with their incompetence killing around 60,000 people (mostly people like you), but you should be shitting your pants that after the legacy of Milliband and Corbyn, Starmer (and Boris) have made Labour genuinely electable again within weeks.

GE polling still shows a big Tory lead. But every single poll that comes out now as a - next to the Tory number and a + next to the Labour one.

4 years is a long time. People are forgetting Corbyn far quicker than they'll forget this mess

Mainly true, but the media have not gotten their hooks in yet and and there is no narrative currently formulated to smear Starmer. There will be though, and it will likely be forged out of the disunity on the left. (Real or illusory)
I expect Boris will be removed once the fear of the virus is over (and he can be written off as a clown). The Labour party divisions will be fomented by the press Barrons (and their sicophant underlings). I expect it will begin with the reporting over the anti-Semitism report investigation.

I have always been of the belief that Boris wanted the title of PM, but not really the position, which is actually the polar opposite of the position of Prime Minister. With the quantity of ducking, diving, defence and deceit at every turn at the moment, this is now looking more certain. Being the UK PM is relentless; look at May, she was only in the position for a blink of the eye, but it noticeably aged her, why anybody would aspire to that position is crazy in my eyes.

Boris has set his office up rather like the US president does, with a chief of staff who does most of the graft and filters out the irrational (which is probably most, ATM). Dom Cum is Boris’ chief of staff. He is a very clever tactician, as was proven by the vote harvesting stunt he pulled for ‘Vote Leave’, the education reforms he did while he was stapled to Gove (no comment on whether these were good!!), etc. Without Cummings, Boris will be a lost puppy and will be until he has found a replacement, so he will try hang onto Dom, probably safe in the knowledge that there is 4.5 years to sort it out. I, think though this could be his Waterloo.

Ironically, getting Brexit done may be the worst thing for Boris. With having so many traditional labour voters who held their noses and lent him their vote at the last GE, many will have forgotten/forgiven Keir Starmer for his remainer leanings and start to go back; but Boris has to get it done, it was all his campaign spoke about and if he doesn’t, they’ll go back anyway.

As I see it he is in a lose/lose situation and it’s totally of his own making! A large majority must do that to some.

What you call clever has divided this country and polarised debate. The total sum of his 'cleverness' involved completely ignoring some if the better conventions around uk politics, like not telling outright lies.

The dude is an intellectual hobit and utter chancer. No wonder boris loves him. His tactical genius has seen tens of thousands of people die.

When his next bit of tactical genius hits with regards to his shit brexit plan no doubt you will be blaming corona virus

Hancock looks worse than some on here when they’ve been having a night supping on a few glasses of meltdown hammering the alert button.

I reckon another day or two & he’ll lose it. Be very shocked to see Patel in the next few days as she wouldn’t be able to control herself, we obviously won’t see the butcher as he’s done at least 2 days recently

The world's gone mad, I'm in a message group with some old friends and the subject of Cummings arises. We all vent our spleens a touch before another friend pipes up that the journalists are behaving in a far worse way and proceeds to liken the treatment of Cummongs to a lynch mob wanting a hanging. Prejudice is prejudice he says, without I suspect having faced any in his life ever.

He isn't a Tory, he hates Brexit so for him it was an especially weird fucking hill to die on.

What has me most worried is does that mean this twat is going to skate? That normally decent people are being suckered in.

That's not what I'm seeing but it does piss me off when you have bleeding hearts for someone who doesn't even have one.

The stuff about Cummings's 'harrassment' outside his house. They were his neighbours!

Owen Jones, James O'Brien and Jess Phillips all tweeted that he should have the crime number of all the direct threats he has had; they all do. And how was he being harassed under lockdown anyway?

I wonder where such people are when the Daily Mail runs another Meghan Markle hit piece? Or these Tories pleading harassment when Starmer is attacked for buying his mum a field for rescue donkeys?

Not trying to engage in whataboutary, just trying to point to hypocrisy from some of the hacks I have seen on twitter

He did manage to get people to vote for Brexit and bring an eventual end to Great Britain

His tactics works and I hate the **** but he was one of the main reasons behind it
