Aston Villa v Swansea City (FAC3) Match Thread - Sat 5th Jan, 3pm

I felt under Brucey it was very rigid, which was a 4-1-4-1 in my eyes (Bruce May have argued 4-3-3).

When DS came in, there was movement and fluidity. You had a whole of host of players picking up the ball in different positions, creating triangles and getting the ball working forwards.

I suspect it’s the players and their ability. We’re like a Cadbury Roses selection box, a mix and match of players, abilities and styles who just can’t gel.

If we want to be a footballing team, we have to lose at least 4 of our usual starters.

Read before the game that it was pretty strong, never heard of them maybe but not their B team.

Can concentrate on the league now that we've comprehensively got out of this mickey mouse cup nonsense

time for a bit of this legendary coaching and stuff we'd heard about innit

Fucking depressing result, that. Despite it being the cup and it not being a priority it has wiped away the rest of any of this ‘feel good factor’ if there was any left.
