Yellow Cards: Current State Of Play

How does that compare with our rivals?

Bury (3 to play): None at risk.
Mansfield (3 to play): Bishop 9, Preston 8.
MK Dons (3 to play): Cargill 9, Gilbey 8
Colchester (3 to play): Nouble 8, Prosser 7.
FGR (3 to play): None at risk.
Exeter (4 to play): Taylor 8.
Carlisle (3 to play): None at risk.
The league paper has Bishop on 10, sweeney on 10 and Preston on 9. Think Benning is close too.

Sweeney has just completed a two-game ban after reaching 10. Bishop has 9, Preston picked up his 8th yesterday. Benning is on 6.

Ta mate.
Plus Walker has a ban to serve and they have quite a few injuries.
Shame init?
No one seems to know what Walker was sent off for, so we have to assume it was dissent and a one-match ban. Unfortunately he only misses a relatively straightforward home game against Cheltenham.

Stags fans who were there seem to think it was for foul and abusive language to the linesman which I believe is a two game ban. Someone I spoke to was very close to the incident and reckoned Walker knew what was coming straight away.

Gave the linesman the middle finger after he wasn't given a throw in.

Mansfield: 64 yellows, 4 reds = 302 disciplinary points.
Lincoln: 46 yellows, 5 reds = 242 points.

Slight difference there.

Only Crawley, Stevenage and Northampton have worse records than Mansfield.

So that table proves we're the dirty team with 5 reds to 4.
As always the brains trust in North Notts are right

Update after the Exeter game.

With only three more games until the cut-off, the good news is that we cannot now pick up any suspensions for ten yellows.

Weekly movements shown in bold:

6: Michael Bostwick
5: John Akinde, Neal Eardley, Harry Toffolo
4: Lee Frecklington, Michael O'Connor, Mark O'Hara
3: Harry Anderson, Matt Rhead, Jason Shackell
2: Bruno Andrade, Cian Bolger, Tom Pett, Jordan Roberts, James Wilson
1: Shay McCartan
0: James Brown, Matt Gilks, Danny Rowe, Grant Smith, Josh Vickers.

The final cut-off is 15 yellows before the end of the season, incurring a three-game ban. With 12 games to play, only 7 of our players can possibly pick up a suspension, and they are increasingly unlikely.

Update after the Oldham game.

The final cut-off is 15 yellows before the end of the season, incurring a three-game ban. With 9 games to play...no Lincoln City player can now pick up a yellow card suspension. For such a horrible bunch of cheating thugs, that is incredible.

Time to put this thread to bed for the season.

Thanks for the update. Bolger definitely got a yellow after the red card though.

Cos we scare the refs so they don't book us don't forget that guys!
And we know how to cheat properly as well so we don't get booked...
