Never visited Warwick Castle. And thr University is actually in Coventry (or on its edge). A decent place. Not the wow factor of Lincoln but the new cathedral is pretty stunnimg (on the inside).
Yes, it's not far from me, did some competitive gaming there a couple of years ago on the campus

Yes, Coventry cathedral an interesting building and built out of the ashes of the blitz, of course.

Loved how they incorporated the burnt ruins of the older cathedral. And then didn't try to build another mediaeval one but went very modern.
The Sutherland tapestry is a highlight but my favourite in the new cathedral are the John Piper stained glass windows, a modern masterpiece.
(Also like another modern stained glass display in Metz Cathedral in Lorraine by the artist Chagal).

DC 33’s for the Derby job, a couple of excellent early pre season signings, i think this rather lucrative thread is done.

Thread is done??
Oh far from it!
We have all the early season sackings to look forward to next.
Then the pre-Christmas ones.
Then the post-Christmas ones.
Then the mid February ones, just after final window has been shut and changing the manager really does get pointless but three chairmen will do it anyway...
Then the one game to go sackings...
And then we can get to the next madcap pre-season....

Thats a good point well made.

Also (just for devil's advocate's sake) Cowley could be building his legacy and filling the roles of the players he is about to take with him

Forest will be looking for another manager soon enough. But you think they’ll want a job with a team like forest who change their 2-3 times a year?
From outsider looking in the majority of championship sides seem incredibly short term and ridiculously trigger happy.

Pretty much all clubs sack their managers and most do so frequently.
Danny and Nicky will be fully aware that they are in an excellent situation here at Lincoln and that any move aware will likely be a short one. But at some point they will decide that the next step, however risky, is worth it for them to progress, and to get themselves a very big payday.
Let's hope that moment is still several seasons away but football is always unpredictable and anything can happen at any time.

May’s the month. Maybe June. Possibly July. After that stop fretting... if you really are.

Not remotely fretting. Highly confident we'll have the Cowleys for this season and probably next one too. After that then they may be considering their next step upwards.

We'll be in the championship then, they'll stay and have a crack at getting us to the promise land.

That is certainly their plan !
And its do-able.
Not easy of course, and with anyone else at the helm, the chances are we'd come back down long before we made any serious attempt at going up again.
But Danny and Nicky are a whole level and more above anything else we've ever seen at our club.
So maybe, just maybe, they really can take us to the next level.

Donny job up for grabs and now the Blackpool one too !

How is Danny doing in the longevity list now?
And who can he overtake next?

He should set a target of being number one in that list ???
