We’re just waiting to see who City make available after tonight, then we’ll see some serious movement.
Notts County sign David McGoldrick
Fantastic signing at this level
Scored 22 goals in League 1 for Derby last season
Wow ! Absolute quality.
Agree with that but if he stays fit and injury free it’s a bloody good signing might be 35 but still qualityThink it was a simple case of going home for Mcgoldrick. He’s 35 now and location of club is probably more important than what league they are in etc.
Yes true, reminds me of when we signed Deon Burton in the season we won League 2.Agree with that but if he stays fit and injury free it’s a bloody good signing might be 35 but still quality
No start for foden or Kyle Walker tonight. Both only came on due to injuries. Hmmmm. We’re just waiting to see who City make available after tonight, then we’ll see some serious movement.
Two fairly reliable sources, have said May deal is done, I will believe it when I see it personally. I am not actually convinced he would be THAT good of a signing, but given the clubs after him, it would be a genuine wow moment if we pull this off - I suspect it would create a snowball effect with other players who may be on the fence.
Wow ! Absolute quality.
He supports them and always said he would finish his career with them.
Wouldn’t it be nice if Bradley Dack had that mindset…..

Probably find hes a charlton or millwall fan ;-)
Good. A poor man's Tom Nichols.Alfie May going to Derby County according to KOL.
At the time that May was first suggested we would have had no idea of who else was after him.Or indeed the sort of fee those clubs would offer.Local rags in Cheltenham suggesting we’ve not even bid and that Charlton have had one accepted, so I think we can possibly mark this one down as being bollocks sadly and have been steered wrong. Goes from fairly reliable, to somewhat reliable!
If he's been muted he's not the type we need. We need vocal players ideally. On the other hand, he may have been mooted.....At the time that May was first muted we would have had no idea of who else was after him.Or indeed the sort of fee those clubs would offer.
My guess would be that May has been moved financially out of our market .No shame in that this part of the summer is all about getting the right players lined up at the right prices .If we are going to break the bank with a striker he probably has to be someone quicker bigger and stronger than May .No point in getting May and leaving him and or Nichols isolated.
We possibly can still chase May but it might be that it isn't right for the total funds we have available.
Not as short, and not quite as old though.Good. A poor man's Tom Nichols.
