Inclined to agree that this seems like a really daft bit of business based upon his recent injury history, relatively un-prolific career thus far (albeit he’s not done badly at Southend) and the success (or lack of) that his team have had this year. Sure he will prove to be a decent signing but 3.5 years is nonsensical imo.

Heard a lot about him being a good player, it's a big contract but I wonder if there is a bit of Andrade/Toffolo type motivation in that? Can't build if you lose your best players every 2 yrs

150 k and a 3.5 year deal for a chap that has scored 2 goals in 15 league appearances this term in the same division, sounds a tad risky, hope it pays off.
