The Vital Villa Music Thread

When this old world starts getting me down
and people are just too much,
for me to face,
I climb way up to the top of the stairs
and all my cares drift,
right into space,
On the roof its peaceful as can be
and there the world below, can't bother me,
Up on the roof.

--+--

When the sun beats down and burns the tar up on the roof
and your shoes get so hot, you wish your feet were fire-proof,
(Under the boardwalk),
Out of the sun,
(Under the boardwalk),
We'll be having some fun,
(Under the boardwalk),
People walking above,
(Under the boardwalk),
We'll be falling in love,
(Under the boardwalk).

From the park you can hear the sounds of the carousel,
You can almost taste the hotdogs and french fries they sell,
(Under the boardwalk),
Out of the sun,
(Under the boardwalk),
We'll be having some fun,
(Under the boardwalk),
People walking above,
(Under the boardwalk),
We'll be falling in love,
(Under the boardwalk).

After subsequent listens, I have to agree with @The Fear that the new Muse album is beyond dire, and I too have sold it on eBay.

I've been listening to Black Holes and Revelations and The Resistance to recover.

Saturday night at the movies, who cares what picture you see.......

Thought I'd add to your Drifters moment 58.

Been enjoying this. Some outstanding songs from a great band. However, I think it's about time Robert Smith spent some of his hard earned cash on a personal stylist and trainer. The moobs are a bit too much for me :shake::eek!:

Saturday night at the movies, who cares what picture you see.......

Thought I'd add to your Drifters moment 58.

Saw the Drifters on stage several times over the last 50 years or so and even with the changes in personnel, although the phenomenal Johnny Moore was there for the longest ever time, I've never been disappointed.

Despite the utter shitness of Muse's new album, I have booked tickets to see them at The Etihad in Manchester next June. In the meantime, I will obviously order some Adidas Gazelles and a Parka coat so I can swagger around with the locals and not feel too out of place.

Saw being me the horizon last night.

That was such a young audience with a little mix of older people. But fuck me some of them looked fresh faced and full of life.

Good concert. Stage and lighting wasn't brilliant, which is odd because Vegas was.

Never felt the floor shake like it did before. Support act were called fever three. Bit rage against the machine. I shall investigate. Had to laugh though. They told the crowd at one point you don't have to follow and do what your told. A few minutes later 'everybody raise you hands in the air and clap' and everybody (nearly!) did. Oh the irony.
