The Tyrone Mings Thread

Think Jack should consider switching to Ireland. Southgate ought to see he has the potential and needs to give him some encouragement. He must be cheesed off at this.
Southgate would have looked an even bigger tool if he had called Jack up now. Jack smashed it in the Champs but hasn't hit form yet in the Prem. Improving week on week though

See Adrian Durham is up to his usual sneering self questioning Mings inclusion to the England squad. Apparently he feels other more established premier league defenders should have had the nod ahead of Mings claiming after just three premier league games he just 'waltzed into' the squad. What a bitter little w*** splash

And who are these more established premier League centre backs? One thing I'm definitely not loving since the return to the top level is the extra bullshit we have to listen to from no nothing nobs like this cockney tosser.

It's not a queueing system, "ah there you go, you've been in the Prem a long time, your turn". It's solely based on the perception of the England Manager who lives and dies by his decisions. Whether anyone else thinks it's justified or not is immaterial.

Fortunately no one gives a single, solitary shit what Adrian Durham thinks.

Mings has been immense and has deserved his call up. If he stays fit and continues to play as well as he has he will become an England regular. As for Jack, not really shown how good he is at this level yet. When he does, and he will, Villa and England will benefit.

Yesterday showed what he has in his locker when he goes direct. Palace defenders looked scared stiff of him when he has the ball at his feet in a forward position and on the run.

Off balance and going to ground after laying off a killer pass. No question of diving as he was up and looking to get in the 6yrd box for a return before the ball had reached Lansbury. At no stage did he claim for anything - total focus on getting into a good position.

That's my take and I'm rarely wrong in these matters. I invented football.

Direct quote from William McGregor - and he knows his shit.
