The Stadium!

Blimey that seems a lot to me £4 a pint. I'm used to paying under three a pint in our local for all beers unless it's something extra special.
But then again it is a free house in the wilds of south Wales.
Only paid just over 3 a pint for Stella in bindipper land pub I was in when we played le arse.
Go to Spoons here and it is around the 2 to 2.50 mark for ales

Obviously don't get to London much!

Distance memory for me them prices. The bar I went to last night charged £5.20 for a pint of Peroni. Frigging madness.

May be it's designed to improve Eriksen's delivery.

TBH, something's not quite right. May be the pitch is raised more than usual during the grow process. Seeing the back of the goal overhanging the sloped part can't be allowed.....surely.
Cs the back of the goal doesn't overhang , the flat part of the pitch extends the full area of the net . I don't understand the corner taking area . Don't understand how the throwings will be taken ,or how the linesmen will run up and down on the edge of a slope . Fruend also mentioned tackles near the touch line and players ending up at the bottom of the hill!

Thanks WW for the clarification of the goal surface. I took another look at the Cowlin's pitch side video and saw the flat area.

As for the sloping short borders, I seem to recall seeing similar slopes (I think) at United. Bad enough Winks getting injured at Burnley, catching the hoarding, this is gonna be fun at NWHL. Best control your slide when celebrating!

Thinking about it at each corner flag there should be sufficient run up area in grass to facilitate a decent run up, not over hard standing material.

A throw in or free kick provides as much run up on grass as required to get enough power. A corner only about 3 pigeon steps.

So I am visualising a triangle or square shaped section of grass at each corner extending into the run off area.

This is my contribution to improving football .

I read recently Spurs are not happy with the scum area surrounding the ground. I said it was shit hole years ago and questioned the reasoning of building a luxury facility including shops and restaurants etc in such a rough demographic.

A young man lost his life after being stabbed by a 15 and 16 year old last night in the streets of Tottenham and he ain't the first this year.

Many years ago the same logic was applied to Canary Wharf, many simply couldn't understand why the developer was building a new 'city' right slap bang in the middle of a wasteland where crime was rife.

I along with a few other bought as much land adjacent to the big developers as we could get.

At various pionts we sold as the 'new' developments surrounding it spread and transformed the area, there are of course still parts that could do with being laid waste and rebuilding - and in time that will happen.

I expect that much the same transformation will happen in area around Tottenham - but the local council and the Police will have to step it up - in much the way we forced Newham to do when it was clear they were criminally inept and too used to let the area sink into a cesspit.

Spurs and others investing in the area (and there are many planning too) will have to force the issues - because a rising tide raises all ships and improves the quality of all lives; and sadly at the moment the local authorities around the new stadium are now too embedded in the past to understand how destructive their socialist dogma will affect the way the area could evolve.

Has anybody seen the proposed redevelopment of Tottenham Hale . Canary Wharf mark two from what I've seen . Just amazing . I'll find an image and post it

The perimeter of the pitch is surrounded by hydraulic flaps which are needed to be able to open to allow the pitch to be moved out of the arena for games so icant see how they are going to alter this arrangement unless the flaps themselves can be raised level to the pitch

Canary wharf has the Thames as a backdrop and is very close to the City. It has decent road routes . It has offices, exhibition facilities and high end accommodation. There will need to be a lot of work done in the Tottenham area to transform it from what it is.
