Radical new climate change commitments are to become law in the UK, Boris Johnson will announce this week.
The prime minister will say carbon emissions will be cut by 78% by 2035 - almost 15 years earlier than previously planned - which would be a world-leading position.

Back it up then Bojo and get some respect. Don't set it as law and expect everyone who follows you to make it happen.

Break a habit of a lifetime - like wearing a condom.

This is where Greta, Attenborough and even Extinction Rebellion could be doing a better job (granted I know they have their own 'focus') and dare say the Gov itself.

Massive focus on plastics, petrol, airplanes and even meat/cows + methane but in many ways that's the tip of the iceberg with everything else that also needs attention as, as big as the above four might be.

I know we have to start somewhere and the biggies seem the best idea for a quicker return, but with more education and balance we'll have a bigger impact long term.

Such slow progress, but well done Iceland

Iceland has become the first UK supermarket to launch plastic-free packaging for its Pink Lady apples, as it continues to reduce its plastic packaging footprint.

The supermarket has today (12 April) announced that paperboard packaging will replace the plastic format, with the new packs being rolled-out across all its stores in the UK.

Richard Walker, managing director of Iceland, said: “We are continuing to innovate our packaging as we continue on our journey to completely remove plastic from our own-label ranges by the end of 2023.

Think this is the most appropriate thread.

A giant fatberg thought to weigh about 300 tonnes is clogging a sewer in Birmingham.

What utter lazy thick giant cock in this day and age flushes anything but toilet paper and linked natural substances?

Loads of people just do not know mate, they aren't told, they don't read up and they don't think for themselves.

Those toddler bum wipes are awful things, they’re meant to disintegrate but they block up your sink. We bought some, and blocked out drains - they should be banned. No idea why they’re being sold, it was only when we blocked our pipes we stopped using them.

I suspect there are people who are just thick, or don’t give a shit. I also suspect people accidentally put the wrong things down when in autopilot.
