The Official RIP Thread

Too bad about Rooney, our chances in the World Cup are even slimmer without him.

The Ultimate Warrior died yesterday. Gutted.

Don't like or watch wrestling any more, but as a kid between the ages of say 8-14 the WWF was awesome and The Ultimate Warrior was the best of the bunch!

Legend.

Got inducted to the hall of fame on Saturday too. Then made his first WWE appearance since the 90's on Monday. (Watch the Youtube vid, he looks ready to collapse and die right there). Looks like the excitement of the last week just finished the poor guy off.

Here's that appearance on Monday.

Pretty sure he'd not appeared since the late 90's (could be wrong though as said don't watch it any more)

He died the day after this, but looking at him here you could see it coming.

From Tanya Gold in the Guardian:

"Because Peaches Geldof had an online "presence" and posted pictures of her children on Instagram, it was a death strangers felt they could participate in: virtual mourners, if you will, although computers can't weep. She was resurrected by a hashtag and her name. Is it the hashtag that is so offensive – inviting the idly curious and excitable to an online wake, perhaps to post the acronym "RIP" – its full wording presumably being too long-winded to hold attention?"

Indeed.
