Despised him as a player - was absolutely mortified when he became our manager

Even though he's gone - I will never tire of give him a good old keyboard warrior kicking.

(I didn't actually think he was such a good player - tremendous athlete, and could hit the ball very hard - but skill was only average imo)

He was like Keane, he could almost win games on his own with his desire and tenacity but they had average enough technical ability. We see less and less lads like this at the top now, Henderson is probably one of the last players like that and he even he has pretty good range of passing and he is tactically astute.

I think Keane and Gerrard had intangible abilities that were in the top 1% and those very same abilities completely limit any ability to coach or manage.
