I didn't want to say anything until we'd got Smith out, because I feared this would happen.

We always seem to have one opponent that we can't get out, like Steve Smith, Graeme Smith, Dravid, Hayden, etc

It's annoying because they still get a respectable score when we get stuck into their batting

Yeah, we have 'em on the ropes but can't finish the bloody job.

Finally Moen gets Siddle for 44. To think, at one stage they were 122-8, now 210-9!

They do, regularly, they did today. Still they did indeed have a bad day though. The tone for a day of strange decisions was set very early on when Warner edged Broad to Bairstow, not out was the decision and Root and Co didn't review. Micheal Vaughan has long believed that English & Australian umpires should be allowed to officiate in Ashes games. There is a massive discussion to be had about certain aspects of DRS .... for another time

What a joy that was, proof that they can play the long game. Magnificent innings from Burns, shame Roy,Denly & Buttler went cheaply. Amazing atmosphere considering not too many there from the most populous democracy in the world. Had to laugh at certain members of the TMS team hypothesising on the prospect of joining long beards to aid catching.
