Yup like the life in the championship thread I'm jumping the gun and playing the devils advocate.

Would we hang onto Pardew (there'll be some wanting him given another chance) ?

Will there be a major strategic rethink on recruitment and budget ?

Could Ashley change direction and sack Decka and Pards ?

Pardew has to go regardless for me. If Dirty Decka went and a proper chairman was brought it that would be a major bonus.

Good idea to give him another chance. Send him out on loan to Dagenham and Redbridge.

I thought of this exact thing at the weekend but didn't have the heart to post it.

Personally, the shock of missing out on an absolute fortune will have already got Ashley thinking of what to do and I don't think the managerial department will be his first concern.

I think he'll spend a canny amount in the Summer to make sure we are better equipped for the next season and with a minimum of £30 million extra in the kitty due to the increase in TV money then im fairly certain we would spend at least that much.

I reckon Pardew will get 10 games at the start of next season but I know nowt and we'll probably find that French bloke or Di Matteo house hunting in Ponteland within the fortnight, although we have business to do first and that involves trying to impersonate a football team and actually win a game.

Stay up, we keep Pardew in my opinion, then the usual lies lies lies and another relegation battle next year. Ashley won't care cos he will be raking in the new TV money. If Pardew does go then my concern is his replacement. Gus Poyet would be my choice, even Benitez would be ok but knowing Ashley he will appoint someone like Howard Wilkinson (sure to piss off the fans)

Yep, they don't learn from their mistakes and still have no knowledge of football despite being involved in it for a few years now, main reason being they've been to arrogant to actually bring in a football man in and take advice from anyone aside from a fucking casino manager. Same year in year out as long as that fat buffoon owns the club.

Staying up will let me be able to follow the club i support...in a wonga kit. Game over if it is not to be after 17 years(as first club choice).

Yeah not looking forward to that either TP. Feck fatman and his shady crooked pals.

If clubs constantly change managers, they look bound to struggle, unless you are Chelsea. But we need to change managers - this season has seen pardew laid bare. It's the trail of excuses that Ashley has to take note of - there has always been an excuse - Europa League, not training, decisions going against us etc etc - they just keep on coming.

Pardew has to go - the results surely speak for themselves.

Those are huge odds toony as we could very easily get no points from the last 2 games. It's not over yet.

If we stay up, pardew should obviously get the boot but I am not sure he will. He's a convenient mouthpiece for fatty and he's willing to work for fatty and do his bidding. He's comfortable in front of the cameras (alright he loves them). Where else will Ashley find one of these. Benitez, Martinez, moyles would all be a lot better but I reckon only Martinez would be willing and then fatty would need to get past whelan. As depressing as it is, we're stuck with pardew. Best thing we'll get is a new coach.

Benitez is a bit like marmite, you either love him or hate him, to me he is a step forward from what we currently have.

He cant do it by himself, he needs a support structure, top coaches around him.

The end of season clearout, management and players would do the club the power of good.

NOW, if he also got rid of Dracula, appointed a football chairman, who knew how to run a club, then we would really be getting somewhere....

It's obvious to us isnlt it Daftlad. What's that Rick Parry doing these days, who was at Liverpool for years? He resigned on a point of principle I think though, so maybe he wouldn;t be the best fit.

Great shout that MM, did not know he was out of work, ideal fit for us.

I reckon pardew will be gone within a week of the season ending, then we can bring in a new manager and he can have all of preseason to get to know the squad and decide how he wants to set up the team, and who he wants to cut loose

I agree he'll be gone straight away, but knowing our regime we'll still be looking for a replacement until September, with Carver as caretaker.
