Sunak v Truss

I often take YouGov with a pinch of salt but their feedback from last night's debate makes for unpleasant reading for Sunak.

Who performed best?
Truss – 50%
Sunak – 39%

Trustworthy
Truss – 51%
Sunak – 37%

Likeable
Truss – 54%
Sunak – 35%

In touch with ordinary people
Truss – 63%
Sunak – 19%

Prime Ministerial
Truss – 42%
Sunak – 43%

In other damning polling Sunak is considerably more popular with Liebour voters than Conservatives.

Sunak needs to pull a rabbit out of the hat but his aggression last night just played as him being manic and desperate. He's just offering continuity of something that isn't working and taking a project fear approach to any deviation. It's such an uninspiring campaign from him.
He's also seen as the man who inserted the final dagger so on a hiding to nothing from loyal BoJo fans..
Caught Starmer yesterday, on the BBC who were covering him giving giving a major policy speech,on how he would sort out the country.
I thought I'd imagined it given the amount of 'cut through' and coverage he's had since.Mind you, one of his 5 major planks, was to 'be more British'???
He's even struggling to get any traction on what is a gift to him- the Sunak Truss debates.
Long may he reign

The best result the Conservatives will have all year came in Durham. Liebour under Burnham, Streeting or even our former mayor Jarvis become a much more dangerous threat in two years time.

Sir Keir's reverted to type today and has been waffling and babbling about heavily regulating and nationalising UK industry and services. Of course the reason the Government can nationalise is because of Brexit, something the hypocritical Sir Keir did everything in his gift to prevent despite it being the democratic will of the British people.

I wonder where Charlie stands on this, on one hand he's an old school socialist whose instincts are for government to nationalise everything, on the other he's an EU bootlicker despite the EU regulating competition and tendering within the single market. What a dilemma for Chuck - maybe he'll just be a hypocrite like he is on abortion.

It appears Sir Liar is going to break a manifesto promise.....I suppose the brain-washed will not complain.

100% agree mi owd pal. I'm sure i saw early September would be when the new Prime Liar will be announced. UTB

The good news being that whoever wins the vote will be a CONSERVATIVE PM whilst Stir Kreamer vacillates on finding a policy - and finding anyone who either listens to or believes him.
Only ones who did were Jimmy Saville and the Durham police commissioner. At least he now knows the price of a beer- 500k and 3 years more in office.

I'd have thought Sir Keir would have been at Liebour HQ last night conducting a line of attack from the leadership debate. But there's no bandwagon too big or too small the flip flopping liar won't jump on.

It makes me feel bilious to think of him in our ground. 🤢🤢🤢
Man of the People approach- but , being a Sir, an awkward, ill at ease, trying to please everybody and pleasing nobody type that also rebounds on him as have the lefties when he abandoned his nationalisation plans quietly ( he hoped) earlier this week.

You would have thought that as DPP he'd have known not to leave the scene of an accident though. Surely he wasn't trying to avoid an awkward breathalyser test....................... was he?

Sorry lad, perhaps it my bad typing sometimes. But, in truth, you know my views
they don't change Rod so it's easy really if you try.
Like i always say Chippy you are entitled to your views just like the rest of us.I will never vote tory, that's my choice but you do and like i say that's up to you. I've said to you before i will never fall out over politics,i don't trust any of them enough to fall out over politics mi owd pal. UTB

" No one is a more patriotic man of the people than me Seth. "

Sir Keir has fellow North London elitist Lady Nugee in his shadow cabinet. A woman who thinks our national flag and anything to do with England is racist.

How can anyone seriously want us to be governed by these people.

What about the thought of Labour MP Toby Perkins being a regular at our ground.

Does that make you feel bilious too?
