Hell of a deal, that! Bloody students!

Good to bulk up those crowds though.

Yet another deal which offers no reward to the long suffering supporter

Basically nothing more than a "Have a free drink on the club" offer. Not sure targeting a transient population is going to do a lot to boost crowds.

It's less transient than it was. Many students now look to study locally - or localish - to keep costs down.

It's not free though, it's costing them 6 quid. I agree that schemes like this aren't going to boost crowds *that* much, but i don't really see any reason not to try. When i was a student myself and others went to watch our adopted local team on several occasions.

Why don't the club do the same for Armed forces as well?

I remember they did a one off a couple of seasons ago for discount entry for on production of ID cards.

My point here is that a student can get a ticket on any match day for £6 if they purchase the ticket before the game. All that is happening here is that they can purchase the ticket before the game for £6 and then get a "free drink".

You will be attracting people who wouldn't otherwise be going to the game. Take away the cost of the drink, and there is a nett gain of at least £4 per person to the club.

I guess the proof will be in the numbers, ie how many student tickets we sell tomorrow v average, to judge if it's worthwhile. Frustratingly we're not party to that info.

Too late to judge tomorrow I think.

Good offer. Students won't only have the one pint either, so that'll be a bit extra.

And presumably this will be plastered all over Lincoln Uni/Bishop Grot?

Do students have Uni email addresses? Must be easy to ping an email to everyone.

Why don't they do it for IT people too?

Why don't they do anything like this for the existing ST Holders? Why don't they say pre-season that if you get a ST we will let you in the friendlies cut price or free? That way maybe they will sell more ST's?

Existing season ticket holders do get a reduction on the cost of a pint at the club. Just show your season ticket.

Well its an attractive initiative for Students and if it gets more bums on seats then its a net gain for our club financially. Lets hope it works.

As long as their bums aren't on the seat I usually occupy!

Where did I mention wanting a pint? Be nice if I could get in for £6!

I do wish the Club would stop trying to fill seats up.
I was nice and quiet for a while until those noisy chaps started up in the Co-op
On Tuesday the racket was even spreading as far as block 4 for goodness sake.
These student chaps can only make matters worse.
I must complain to the club.
