Newcastle return to action for the first time since the five-one thrashing at Chelsea in mid-February as the weekend game with Man City was called off, due to their League Cup involvement, and us having no FA Cup involvement prior to that.

At least the boys went away for some warm weather training though!

No competitive game for what 2-3 weeks? A nice trip to sunny Spain in between and now they return with a trip to Stoke, this has loss written all over it, our lot have trouble getting up for games at the best of times let alone after a break like that

Townsend, the fans favourite according to Ryder, is doubtful after a knock in training and Cisse not being risked. Many of our other stars are back from injury.

Away from home, this spineless lot, against Stoke, not a chance in hell. They'll give up the second we concede the bunch of shithouses.

They are spineless.

When you see the likes of the two Norwich players with chunks out of their heeds and teeth missing through challenges plus the likes of the Mackem Clattermole coming back on after blood squirting incidents, you just know our shower will cry off in the wind and rain after the first drop of mud hits their shorts.

In comparison we'll struggle in the Sky Bet league.

Further proof that Penfold picks the team.

Starting XI.

Elliot, Janmaat, Taylor, Lascelles, Dummett, Sissoko, Shelvey, Colback, Gouffran, Wijnaldum, Mitrovic.

Colback? He must be sunburnt to fuck, he'll be in pain running, nearly as much as we'll be in watching him.

Slowly sinking, we are running around without any sense of purpose or plan. Stoke looking like Champions against this shambles
