Okay, we have to factor in the loss of match day income etc from lockdown, but easily Increased sponsorship/commercial, a few extra Sky games next year - we're talking 150m to 200m in future spending is now secured.

And again that's conservative based on the fact we could've spent more last August, but had to balance the risk of dropping and going to EFL FFP again.
 
I will be seriously unhappy if this happens again next season.

Scraping survival as jubilant as it is now is not what it should be about.

It cannot happen again next season, or simply put, the risk taken this year would then not have worked. This year had to be a one off to create the core, sort the finances, etc etc - goal difference was enough (even if Purslow daftly disagreed!).

But it was a one off. It can't be anything else.

Next season now - comfortably midtable or higher, anything less I call a failure.
