Good point! Some big decisions to be made - promise vs cost - on several of those players.

At our level and with our finances, eight players adds up to a decent annual salary amount even if the clubs we have loaned them to are paying something towards their salary (which may well not be the case with many of the eight).

I can't remember the context fully but I read the accounts report earlier and it felt like we now factor in finance from loans out as a specific revenue stream.

Very young players like Gallagher will not be on massive wages so they may even be self financing which in conjunction with the financial support from the board, might mean that is why we can carry a few more prospects, increasing our prospects of developing a diamond without over stretching.

Nine players out so far this window including loans (Shodipo, Kendall, Gallagher, Brown, Smith, Adelakun, Worsfold-Gregg, Vale, and Cann) and three in (Taylor, Moylan, and the recalled Draper) if we forget that Gallagher and Cann were recalled from loans first. There have to be significant incomings, surely?
 
18 available now, O'Connor and eventually House, hopefully, makes 20. Cant think a couple of loans that have been mooted give us a big enough squad to see the season out. Been a massive clear out, surely must be confident of significant incomings, or playing a very dangerous game.
 
There will be at least 2 in before the deadline otherwise both Smith and Brown wouldn't have been loaned out.
Anyway I remember the days of yore when Gordon Simmonite was signed mid-season to put our squad strength up to 14. We'll be fine
 
The 9 out on loan is frankly good business sense. Basically,apart from Smith,these players are nowhere near the first XI,being either not ready or not good enough. I can't see how this is a gamble. It will however release funds to potentially strengthen the side with 1-2 quality additions.
