Strange game. We are very much in 3rd gear domination mode. The home side are filthy. I don’t think the referee is with it again and we will have to be wary of these long ball counters. Fully expect us to breakthrough early in the 2nd half and grab a couple more.

We have got to move the ball faster. They need a kick up the arse and the message to speed up the passing and movement - they have just sleep walked to half time.

All it takes is another John Stones Bambi on Ice moment like he suffered at the weekend or a free kick obligingly gifted by Otamendi and the cup upset may be on.
 
Oliver has let them off lightly. Otamendi, Agüero, Silva, Bernardo have all had late tackles which he has done F all about. They will be encouraged to keep kicking the crap out of us until and unless he starts booking them

It happens every time we play a team that lets us have space and sit deep. Everyone takes three or four touches than they need to just because they can, forwards don’t know when to make a run because they never know if or when the pass will be played ....so the ball just gets shunted about in front of the massed ranks.

Every time.
