Season Ticket Pricing Presentation

Seeing as there are 23 home games in a season and some fans can't attend every one for whatever reason would it not be possible for the club to offer a 10 game partial season ticket to be used as and when?
But you would not get a reserved seat due to the "as and when" part of the deal.
Others might be there on the same as and when day

Both good points KDZ and DATM but the 10 match s/t would probably be priced slightly higher than a season ticket on a match to match basis and as for seats there are more than enough empty ones to go around and maybe particular seats could be reserved in advance.
🤔

From the meeting it seemed like they were open to trying different approaches moving forward but with this being their their first season ticket launch and they probably want to see if they can drive up traditional sales as their first priority without any other parallel initiatives potentially impacting that. Then see how their marketing strategy plays out and go from there.

Sorry Faz, but you've not answered the question. If it's opened up to others, how are they going to communicate the discussions and outcome of the session to others if they're a random person in a seat in row W, E4?

Alternatively, how do we know that the views being put forward by that person are representative of the wider fan base?

Surely, the idea is to create relationships, making it more likely for honesty and trust to prevail ... otherwise, new people attending each time might see them not chirping up cos they're a little intimidated.

It's not a 1 way street, it's focus groups/meetings to get fans views and to communicate with the fans. There will be people there to communicate what's spoken about and the club can pop a recap up.

As for knowing the views that's why you invite other people outside the circle so that you get a wider fan bases views, then the next time other people and so on.

As for not chirping up it works both ways.

I'm not sure of the point you're making here. If we're talking about fan representation on a board, then surely, any participant has (by definition) got to be representing some fans ... and feeding back to them somehow. Largely, this is done by the SC, but other groups also carry out the function.

One random fan might well be great, and could do a good job, but another might not be so well suited.

Sounds like your mate should/could still be representing those fans to whom he speaks.

We are not talking about fan representation on a board, if you want to go down that line we can. This is for the fans meetings/focus groups.

By your one random fan comment couldn't the same be said for anyone who attends via the fans groups. We've a great example of that with the bull spun by talal and his director mates who told specific things and showed documents which people who attended have since openly admitted they didn't understand fully.

Use of the word "board" was wrong ... I just meant the gathering.

Faz, you may well be right, and the club inviting a bunch of random folk each time they have this type of event may well be the way to go. I haven't seen anyone else asking for it mind you, but that's not to say it shouldn't be an option.

As it is, the new owners seems to have made some positive steps in both having the meeting, and the the nature of the new pricing structure. Of course, someone is always going to be a little pissed off, but that's life ... and this is Wigan.

We did this once in the past when you could purchase a book of 5, 10, 15 or 20. Sounds an excellent way of doing things.
Pay on the day should also be capped at £20.

Credit We’re. Credit is due. After for some reason deleting the email from the club for ticket master. And the sending numerous emails and trying to get through on the phone. 📞. Got a reply today. All sorted. And even sent me two free tickets today. Lady said they are really under staffed. In the ticket office.
