Season Ticket news

Found this on the Handsworth blades Facebook page

After yesterday’s announcement regarding season tickets for the 2024/25 season, this was of course, one that concerned a lot of fans, especially the part saying season tickets would now be online and not the usual card we have had since 2005.

Below are a few points outlining some of the main concerns that have been raised. The Club will of course be putting out full information in the near future, but these points may help to clarify some questions you may have.

• No signal will be needed, tickets will be downloaded to your smart phone wallet after purchase. (on pre-installed Apple wallet or from Play Store on Android) and then will remain for the season.

• Obviously, your phone will need to be fully charged, if you run out of battery you will need to go to the ticket office, they will have an option to get you into the ground.

• There is no barcode/QR code, it will work as a digital wallet card (this is different to the mobile tickets used to date)

• Multiple season cards can be saved to a single phone e.g., attending with children, you can have their tickets on your device or request an alternative for the children.

• Season cards can be ‘gifted’ to other individuals for example, if you are on holiday and want to allow others to use your season ticket for a match. There will be an option to electronically send your ticket to someone else.

• There are options for non-smart phone users, this is something to select on renewal (or mention if you do a personal application in the office) and the club will be in touch.

• This change involves turning on functionality in the current turnstile hardware, so disruption should be minimal.

• The Club is working on a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and user guide document. This will be shared prior to the season starting, including videos and an example device available in the ticket office for people to try.

• Many other EFL and Premier League clubs already use this system, and it is likely it will become a Premier League requirement.

This system will be trialled thoroughly before the start of the 2024/25 season
