Scally on five live

I have an unjabbed colleague who spent a couple of weeks in hospital with covid/pneumonia and was pumped full of chemicals, one of which was an experimental drug.
His refusal to get jabbed was based upon the fact that he (wrongly) thought it hadn't been tested enough, not fussed about the experimental drug used to save his life though 🤔

Exactly what an ICU doctor I know said. Half the people he's treated recently have been unvaccinated but are In desperate need of all kinds of chemicals put into them to keep them alive, but most are in the situation because they didn't want chemicals (vaccine) put in their bodies. You really can't get some peoples thinking.

Bed numbers have decreased following the tory activity of closing (specialising lol) hospitals and removing a&e or maternity departments. Plus the lack of training new nhs staff.
If the fear of new covid cases taking beds is so great exactly why have the queen elizebeth hospitals been closed.

Modern medecine and care practice does require fewer beds but I'd agree that misguided policies have driven numbers too low. The Queen Elizabeth hospitals were temporary warehouses. Hospitals are fully equipped and populated with fully trained professionals. We simply do not have enough trained staff and must manage this present crisis with what we have.

My mrs is a nurse and she told me last last night that 90 per cent of the people over here in ICU are unvaccinated. That’s a massive percentage given they are about only 20 per cent of the population.

That tells you all you need. It’s not about the jab being safe, the facts show not being jabbed is clearly incredibly unsafe.

Danny Lloyd as a role model with no medical expertise should keep quite on the matter.
Is there any info about whether those "90% in ICU unvaccinated" ever had Covid before ?

Why blame "tory activity of closing (specialising) hospitals" ?
That was going on under Labour.#
Why not blame those wonderful, impartial 'experts' actually running the NHS ?

# Queen Mary, Sidcup 2009/10 - merged with neighbouring Trusts - losing NHS and maternity.
"cherrypicked' example but still true !

It LITERALLY DOES.

It significantly reduces the chances of you catching it in the first place, and if you don't catch it, then you can't spread it.

If you do catch it (as I did), the affects are significantly less dangerous, and will hopefully keep you out of hospital.

Define "significantly.... catching in the first place".
South African Dr Coetzee (spotted Omicron first) said that half of Omicron patients HAD been vaccinated.
(She added that Omicron appears to be a mild version.)

So the implication seems to be that 'half' of the vaccinated can continue spreading Covid.

Pretty simple stance from me really:

Morally and logically you should get the vaccine. It is backed by the WHO and although somewhat rushed through (it needed to be) I clearly believe and trust medical professionals that it is safe and ultimately good for us.

I draw the line at enforcing people to get it, it is your body and you should be free to do with it as you please.

Agreed on the point of authoritarianism, many people I know traditionally on the liberal left are adamant at mandatory vaccines and consistent lockdowns. It's made me realise I am a bit of a libertarian personally.

Scally in KOL this morning passed comment on the vaccination status of the players, obviously they are his assets, but again they are human beings and should have their own liberty body wise.
""Morally".....you should get the vaccine" !!!
Cough, splutter !

That makes an authoritarian, collectivist assumption that fails to recognise individual circumstances, agency or responsibility .

Surely the only "moral" responsibility is 'do no harm to others' ?
Example:
Why would a farmer be " immoral" for being unvaccinated - if he isolates on his farm ?
Why would it be "immoral" for a previously infected person, with antibodies, to be unvaccinated ?

And with up to half of the vaccinated still transmitting Covid, suggesting a 'moral' component risks the vaccinated believing that they have no need to keep their distance.

I have noticed that a higher percentage of people have had the vaccine in my area than Medway. But they generally appear more relaxed about Covid in the village amongst other locals. Meaning of course if Covid hits a village it will be hit hard which is probably the case nationally much like the Black death strangely.
Staying isolated only works if everyone else you are in contact with does the same.We have quite a few off with Covid at work at this moment so I am a risk of being the one who brings it in. As of course will be many others in the village.

Not quite, omicron is a new variant of covid-19. The vaccines were developed to counter the original strain that was going around at the start of 2020.

The flu jab is changed every year to counter different strains of the flu virus (normally they see what strains are going around the Southern Hemisphere).

some companies are saying they might have a vaccine to counter omicron specifically sometime next year.

I predict that they will soon offer a single covid jab a year the same as the flu.

So Scally claimed he was in talks with two groups regarding investment, no further news…..guess that came to nothing again

Obviously not, but we’re not talking about a day or two are we . My guess is talks have fallen through and we will hear no more on the matter.
But you are talking about a period when the bulk of business who consider these things don't work. Anyway any form of investment of the scale we hope for would not be in place in two or three days. Both parties would have to undertake due diligence which takes time
