Unexpected. An unsung hero of the backroom staff; I'm sure he had a lot to do with keeping the ship on even keel during the rougher times. But people do move on. With Shaky now clearly Dean's right-hand main maybe he thought it was the right time.

Yeah it's easy to jump to conclusions about fall outs etc, but could be health or personal reasons to do with him or his family.

Or maybe a job offer? Has he ever been a no. 1? Maybe he wants to try.
