Pre match protest on Tuesday

i was waiting for a half witted response like that although not as quick.
As I said in the post, which you obviously ignored because you couldn’t wait to pile in.
If its true ..he’s picked a poor time to do so i.e to take delivery just to spell it out.
So as an another example of poor PR of which I guess most of us are aware he’s not very good at.
So.. that means to explain, he’s going to invite even more criticism of himself at this current juncture and clearly has done so judging by whats been said about this over the last few days.
Whether its his car or GFC’s is irrelevant but public displays of extravagance by the owner are currently misplaced. Particularly when Club money troubles are top of the agenda permanently.
No one should know how he spends his money or care even though we know how much he pays himself.

What’s the problem, it will be either on a PCP finance or lease deal. Not even that expensive tbh.

what’s he supposed to drive, a 25 year old Ford escort 1.3 ghia?

Timing? This is a really stupid time to buy a car, new or used. You'll pay through the nose. Even I know that, and I'm clueless.

Just to chip in on this if its his money I couldn't care less - his choice just like the rest of us.

If the football club is funding it directly then I equally couldn't care less. As many of you point out its a big organisation and senior executives of similar organisations would have the same.

Where I do think it stinks is when the club pleads poverty suddenly switches to a grass roots organisation requesting volunteers to come in an do work for nothing.

Bottom line is there are bigger issues to debate.

Who knows, maybe he was forced to buy at this time. His old one may have packed up.

I always finance my cars and the deals run for a certain term. Often you can let them run but often you can also often get into a brand new model for the same monthly payment. No brainer.

Don’t like leasing. I get fidgety about the mileage allowance and the grandkids feasting.

Too right, Toyota have been pestering me every month for the last 6 months to trade in my 19 plate C-HR (30 months into a 42 month PCP) just walked away with a 21 plate ex demo Corolla sport with nearly £7k off the new OTR price and they gave me £6k over the odds for the C-HR, they are that desperate for nearly new cars to sell.
Have now lowered my monthly payments by over £100pm.
If you've got a newish second hand car, now is definitely the time to trade up but be quick as the new ones are starting to filter back through in Jan-March next year so the second hand market will dive again.

What about the environmental cost of getting a new car? Was that a consideration to you at all?

As my post says, it was an ex demo, not new. Both the car I traded and the newer one are hybrids so better than most for emissions (I'd like to go full electric but, living in a flat with no power anywhere near my parking space, could never charge one).
