Where to start, mostly I'm posting this because it makes a fun change for our attack to outperform our defence.
Pants: 6, nervy stuff again. I'm sure part of it is aura, some keepers have it, some don't. It's intangible but perception can be so important. I don't think he's a bad keeper at all, I just feel like he can be better.
Darikwa: 6.5, energetic and tried hard though at times not at his best with the ball at his feet.
Figueredo: 6, harsh red to my unbiased eye but was back to looking nervous.
Dawson: 6.5, slightly steadier but I do wonder if he can consistently cope with 3 games in 8 days.
Robinson: 5, silly penalty - he does need to curb his impetuous nature, and his lack of pace was exposed here. To be fair he doesn't have the best defensive midfielder in front of him. He's been good recently though so gets a pass.
Colback: 6.5, never quite got to grips with the Villa midfield.
Yacob: 6.5, as above really.
Cash: 8, added some end product to his hard work.
Carvalho: 9, busted a gut and showed quality. More of this please.
Grabban: 9, was up for this, looked a really greedy fucker in the best way a striker can be.
Sub: 6, worked hard but nothing game changing.
Karanka: either 4 or 10, I'm honestly not sure which. Did he decide to fight fire with fire, or was it just a game that went completely off the rails. Loved it though.
Don't think I've forgotten anyone...
Oh yeah Lolley: 10. For a Villa fan he pulled no punches. Fucking excellent, don't think I've given a 10 all season. Kudos to the player, manager and coaching staff for his form.
