Pele

All the clips I saw showed how good Pele was and the debate about him vs Maradona mostly came down to personal choice much like Mesdi vs Ronaldo.

As much as his ability the article showed just what a different time it was and what a different game it was back then.

Was always disappointed when I saw him at Bramall lane of all places (Sheffield FC played inter Milan) a mate of mine played for them, not Inter.

Pele ran round the centre circle & that was it then he fucked off

He could’ve at least said something, even trying to sell viagra or something

He definately had everything and i saw him live playing in the 66 world cup finals. Football changed in that tournament and defending subsequently got a lot better. As is true of all sports today is light years ahead. He wouldnt stand out now.

We’d sign Mesdi 😂😂

The Bulgarians kicked the living daylights out of him, but that was quite pleasant compared to what the Portuguese did.

He vowed never to play in a World Cup again after 66, only to return in 70, and what a return that was!

I've definitely been guilty of bigging up Maradona at Pele's expense.

That debate will run and run; the pair of them are miles clear in any GOAT ratings, unless you happen to work for one of the broadcasters who are still trying to sell sports packages.

It would still be Maradona at number one for me; what he achieved with a very ordinary Argentine side was incredible.

Yes he would.

Agree with that comment - Maradona won the world cup for Argentina - almost single handed. Pele was a brilliant player in a brilliant team.
Its the same with Ronaldo & Messi - Messi was a brilliant player in a brilliant Barca team - doesn't stand out as much in an average Barca team. Ronaldo is brilliant in all circumstances.
That's the great thing about these debates - its all about opinions - there is no right or wrong answer
