I’m not turning mine offAs cases rise, everyone I know is getting pinged. Turn it off, it'll be a bit bumpy now for a month, but it is absolutely the right thing to do.
Project fear striking out hardest as it is losing its grip.
The 1200 'leading scientists', was an open list, btw, and includes midwives, nurses and anyone else who put thier name to the list. Susan Michie our favourite 'lock em down forever' communist is in there. If she signed it, then you know its pretty bogus.
Plenty more will die of flu this winter. Just get on with life. No going back from tomorrow.
I haven’t bought or read a paper regularly this century I stopped watching the news on tv last yr I catch it occasionally now and then and my life is no different probably better as I don’t worry about stuff that doesn’t affect my immediate world people should try itSadly don't bet on it..........media curling their dirty fingers around the rising numbers story and tightening their grip
Reports in the Sun are not entirely accurate, but we are taking precautionary measures.
That suggests that parts of their report are accurate which is pretty amazing for the sun I thinkI hope when they do the inevitable inquest in the next couple of years, the media's role in the pandemic is also looked at. Right from the start, when they caused mass panic buying by posting photos of empty shelves, they have made the whole situation much worse than it needed to be. I still don't understand why they still use the "died within 28 days of a positive test" nonsense when a study in March/April time showed that around 60% of them didn't have C19 listed as a potential cause of death on the death certificate, while only around 15% had it listed it as a likely cause of death. It can't be a good thing when the media are obsessed with painting a picture that this is the worst country in the world.
Anyway, we have release a brief statement to the Yorkshire Post about the story in the Sun:
I don't know what that means though. Maybe only some of the players had to isolate?
It was reported we had at least a couple of behind closed doors games arranged as well as those advertised but they weren’t letting on where or when, dunno what all the secrecy is aboutA further update in the Star says that only one player tested positive, but another had to stay isolated in Spain despite testing negative, presumably the player's roommate on the trip.
It also says that everyone is due back in training by the end of next week. I hope we can squeeze a behind closed doors match in next weekend. Going into the new season having played only two matches against professional teams would not be ideal.
I am sure most people on this forum are too intelligent to read the Sun its reading age is aimed at 6 year oldsIn The Sun? Then it must be true.
