NEW THREAD FOR ALL THINGS TAKEOVER

Having spoken with JJ and listening to him and his AGM reports and I can tell you he is very good at his job and would never harm our club. Dave Whelan would not suffer fools and he trusted him completely
I agree totally his loyalty and love for us is unquestionable. We should keep him in any role we can he deserves it and us as fans need to have his back

The fetish some Wigan fans have with Jackson is bizarre. Gone from Premier League to L1 under his leadership. The Gelhardt cock up is the final straw for me. He can take his six figure wage and walk. If we’re lucky enough to find a new owner, it’s time for a fresh broom with fresh ideas.

So Jonathan Jackson got us relegated from the Premier League and 3 times from the Championship? Well you live and learn.

Who'd take him after last season?

To be fair, whilst not the biggest attacking threat in League One, he formed a really excellent partnership with Nathan Byrne down that right flank - particularly in the second half of the season. Those two man-marked Leroy Sane out of the game against City.

Not saying he’s worth £13k a week, but he can be decent and clearly enjoys playing here - the more the merrier right now.

He played pretty well in the first and last 10 games of 18/19 too when he was fit, and played a big part in us staying up.

Think he suffered a knee injury almost straight after his Leeds performance that took him the entire preseason to recover from and he hasn’t been the same since unfortunately.

If he can reclaim even half of his Leeds-destroying potential, he’d be one of the best players in League One. We’ll see A) if we have a club, and B) if he stays!

Nixon says another 4 or 5 may still have to go.

Suspect Williams, Lowe, Windass, Marshall and Kipre being the most likely. Suprised Morsy and Byrne not been linked away - hope it stays that way.

Looking at player sales so far apart from the youth it seems the only players leaving are the ones we owe money on.
So expect Williams, Lowe and hopefully Windass to be next.
Then all football creditors should have been paid off.
Maybe any player sold after that could go for a more realistic price.

If Massey is indeed on 13k a week then it is a double edged sword for us. Who is going to pay him that and pay a fee for the privilege?... and why would he want to kill the goose that laid his golden egg.

He's going nowhere and is like a millstone round our neck.

If he was on that wage Hindley,it would be significantly reduced as all the players have relegation wage reduction clauses in their contracts.Think it's around half they lose out on. That would still leave him on decent wage of around 6k though, which is still more than he should be on.

No doubt there will be one of those relegation clauses you don't like linked to his wages. This time reducing his earnings.

How long of this contract has he left ?
