Shane Ferguson has been called up for the Northern Ireland World Cup Qualifier squad. Congratulations to him, but he will miss a couple of Millers games.

Just a reminder of the Millers other "international stars" from last season - Harding, Tilt (currently injured), Ogbene (injured, but may have recovered before the "international break"), and Kayode.
Will McGuckin make it into the N. Ireland U-19 squad, as some pundits have tipped?

Next N. Ireland game is Lithuania away (World Cup Qualifier) on 2nd September.

EFL statement - players will not be released to play in countries on "red travel list", which could include Jamaica when government list is shortly updated

Update 1...
Although Shane Ferguson did not play today, he should be fit in a few days time and has still joined the N. Ireland squad.

Update 2...
The Jamaican FA have confirmed that due to Covid regulations, they will not be selecting any England-based players for their September 2021 World Cup Qualifier away matches, so Harding and Tilt wil not be going out to Mexico/Costa Rica. I don't think that Jamaica itself is on the "red list" though.

Update 3...
Ogbene has been left out of the Rep. Ireland squad due to injury.
So that probably just leaves Ferguson, Kayode (U-21) and McGuckin (U-19) on international duty.

Update 4 ( 31/08/21)... - Harding has been named in the Jamaica squad, and they play one home fixture in the international break. Jamaica is currently on the "amber list", but British government advice is" don't go".... so the situation is not very clear. The Jamaican FA is trying to get that advice changed. Tilt has not been named in the squad.

Quite a physical game, with few clear chances so far

I'm assuming that that Jamaican FA wouldn't have put him in the squad if he wasn't going to travel there. Plus Warney said that he is not available for us on Tuesday.

Great goal from Ferguson! N. Ireland next fixture is on 8th September. He may make the starting eleven after that goal.

Kayode could be playing tomorrow (07/09/21) for Rep. Ireland U-21. Harding may be heading back to Rotherham now, although Jamaica have another World Cup qualifier coming up away at "red listed" Costa Rica on Thursday (09/09/21)

Next international break clashes with the Millers away game at Charlton. Staff at the NYS still do not know if this fixture will need to be rearranged. N. Ireland, Jamaica, Rep. Ireland senior and U-21 and N. Ireland U-19 all have fixtures scheduled for that week, which could involve Millers players.
