Match Thread: Stevenage v Lincoln City

A very satisfying first half. Dealt with the
physicality. Moved the ball forward quicker and created some opportunities to play the ball in the box. Players look comfortable doing what they’re doing. Just need to duplicate this in the second half.
 
That was a decent first half by us. Ball movement so much crisper and looking forward. Just missing that killer moment but if we keep playing like that it'll come. A much better watch when the ball is played quicker.
 
We look quite good when we keep it on the floor.

Our crossing and final ball have been poor, but if we can sort them out then there’s definitely a goal or two in this for us.
 
Excellent display. Sorensen, Erhahan and Hamilton outstanding. Defense very solid. Would like to see Duffy on for Danny at some stage though. They are wide open down the flanks, which Danny hasn’t make the most of.
 
We are really good value so far. The passing and movement from the Imps has been excellent. Vale has done well so far and if the ball sticks to him in the second half he will get his chance in front of goal. The back line are taking care of everything coming their way. More of the same in the second half.
 
HT. excellent first half from us. You can already see the Skoobs effect with the movement and passing. Been a bit unlucky a couple of times with chances, especially created by Sorensen. More of this in the second half please. If Duffy gets on and plays some of the crosses he’s played in the last couple of games I can see Vale scoring.
Usual booking for Mr Evans - didn’t see him do anything but probably a fair bet he said something to the fourth official.
 
Stevenage started well putting us under pressure but we've really grown into this game and finished the stronger. Just need someone on the end of the crosses into the box. Hope we can keep it up in the second half and take the points.
 
So far so good - Danny not up to his best, likewise Smith but all the rest look at it - hopefully we'll see Duffy quite soon.

Good to see Fat Boy getting a yellow as well

Smith needs to stop ducking his head when the ball comes to him in the air. He is making it very easy for their defender.
 
As all ready said a good 1st half and lots of positives and we seem in control. Interesting to see if any changes to formation (take Smith off) and style. Cmon you mighty imps 👍
 
Excellent first half, though without creating much in way of chances. Need to keep this level up 2nd half and look to subs (Duffy, 60 mins?) to offer different options.

Sorensen superb, the two Ethans really battling in midfield. Smith, Mandroiu and Burroughs need to be sharper.
 
Sorenson has been the best player on the pitch by far. Some lovely passing from us but not getting enough players in the box when it's time to put a cross in.
